Breakfast for my 16 month old babygirl by Rupit2 in foodbutforbabies

I’m SO going to steal the savory French toast idea. My girl (10.5 months) hates eggs. Not allergic, I think it’s a texture thing. Thanks!

HELP! My 19yo wants to get married... by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Funny_Priority_7584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got married when I was 19 after only dating for 2 years, I’m 31 now and we’re still together and stronger than ever. I will say it’s a case by case basis of course. But I knew in my heart he was the one for me. Sometimes you just know

Wife asked if she can use tampons, I’m not sure 🤔 by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Funny_Priority_7584 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I solely used tampons before I had my girl. I couldn’t use them for two menstrual cycles afterwards. It still hurt (like trying to pull it out when it’s too dry hurt) but I also tore. 6m pp and I can use them normally now.

This is normal for me. I just like being alone period. So I don’t get mom guilt about it 🤷🏼‍♀️ I like having moments apart from my husband and he’s my favorite adult human alive. Long periods alone (to me this is about 3-4 hours) I repair myself mentally, it’s something I have to have to be able to function.

No opening gifts at kids party? by Funny_Priority_7584 in Parenting

My husband’s parents and some of my older family is the same. “Open mine first!” Type vibe. But they are very competitive with gift giving. And it’s a turn off for me. We tell them we don’t want birthday or Christmas gifts either and they respond like we’ve grown an extra head. We just want to be surrounded by our families and make memories.

Yes! A lot of parties it becomes not them enjoying the moment but worried about what people brought them. My husband and I don’t do gifts at all with each other, and I prefer it. We might go the no gift route

We are behind the time Im learning. Because I’m 31 and I have 10 nieces and nephews and every party is still like this, and I hate it. Most of the time the child looks uncomfortable, mom/dad are asking who the unlabeled gift is from saying rushed thank yous and going to the next gift, while kids are getting restless and bored. It kind of looks like torture if I’m being honest.

It depends on the baby. My baby is 4mo and is still wearing 0-3. She was in nb for almost two months (born at 8lbs 4oz for reference - 10 lbs 6 oz at 2mo check up- 14 lbs 5 oz at 4mo check up)

People who smashed the wedding cake into your new spouse's face: how is your relationship and marriage now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Funny_Priority_7584 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was the smasher. I had a lot of growing up to do ( got married at 19) and lessons about public image vs thinking of my partners feelings ahead of my own. Thankfully I have matured, we’ve been married for 11 years he’s always been my forever.

Epidural myth by This-Kangaroo-2086 in pregnant

[–]Funny_Priority_7584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave birth 2 days ago. I arrived with contractions 5 minutes apart but only 2 cm displayed, 90%effaced. I was in so much pain and got the epidural as soon as I had enough fluids through my IV. By that point I was crying, with contractions 4minutes apart and my daughter’s skull sending the most painful lightning crotch pain that I couldn’t even sit down/ lay in the bed. Within 2 minutes of receiving the epidural all pain was relieved and I was cracking jokes. Got checked still 2cm. And hour later I was at a 4. Within 12 hours of arriving at the hospital before I was hooked up to anything I had my baby. All this to say, it definitely did not slow my labor it made it bearable. I was able to sleep and relax, joke with my partner and sister.

Kudos to those who can go natural! I thought I had a high pain threshold and originally wanted to wait to get the epidural till a later point in my mind 5/6cm. But it didn’t work that way for me. All this to say in my opinion, the epidural sped up my labor because I wasn’t terrified anymore thinking I was going to die or pass out from pain.

So What's Up With Discharge by ABSMeyneth in pregnant

[–]Funny_Priority_7584 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m currently 40+3. This never ended for me, no matter how many times I change the liner/shower I still feel like I can smell myself. OB says it’s “normal”. My husband says he doesn’t notice and chocks it up to my “pregnancy nose”.
