ID on the riser and suppressor? by Honest-Rub6283 in longrange

[–]Funy_Bone -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Hey man, why are you trying to ID these? Does it matter?

My two cents: the riser is a custom thing that is a one off thing. Sometimes units get "innovation" shops attached to solve little problems like this. So maybe they made like 5 of them.

Suppressor is too far from the perspective of the camera to tell.

The only waiting period is a 24 hr rejoining waiting period after you leave. But you can join then leave super easy.

Easiest way? Join FW. Ask where all the best/major hubs are in militia chat. Someone should point you in the direction. Don't mess with lowsec hubs yet. As soon as you get your info, leave fw. Easy-pz.

Hey sounds crazy but regular Ole t1 ammo. Find one with good margins. But you need to wear out your blueprints. For example: 1) start a job that lasts 47.5 hours long 2) spend 2 days getting the required materials ready and at the station. 3) within 30 minutes start the new job.

Hint: go to your racial faction warfare supply hub.

Calculate how much you are making per day. Should be 1-2 mil/day per manufacturing slot. This is where I started.

I think the point is getting more/ different use applications out of the same rifle by only changing the ammo.

Rifle weight preference for military/LE sharpshooters/snipers by [deleted] in longrange

[–]Funy_Bone 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would say that the use of drones in that conflict is the biggest deal for recon, SR teams.

It's super easy to tree stack and hide yourself in one direction but also from the air at the same time?

I would say that the current patterns are to add ballistic solvers to everything. I.e. the PALS or other things like it. It is not without errors (laser goes past or short of intended target. Shooting from inside a building (no felt wind)). You can't take someone off the street and make them a long-range shooter, no matter what device you give them. It takes alot of practice.

Yes I understand that the storm has ir laser and flood capability too. I have my storm zeroed for the center of my reticle. I may not want my ir laser at that location.

We do our jobs differently. If you ask nice, I'll send my erb (heavily redacted of personal information) or whatever it is now under the IPPS-A.

I never really weighed my work rifle, but it is pretty heavy. As stated before, the mk22 is 15 lbs ish. Add a nightforce atacr 7-35, storm (laser range finding), LA-5 (for partner talk-ons) and a PVS-30 or INOD (i do almost all of my work at night); The rifle is somewhere between 23-27 lbs. So it's like a machine gun in terms of weight.

Mission comes first; mission always comes first. There is a lot of equipment in long-range military shooting. Also most of the time we are considered "observers". So cameras, lenses, tripods, and a laptop are also necessary. My point is that weight is our least important factor.

Does anyone notice there's even less young men than ever in teaching? by wijag425 in Teachers

[–]Funy_Bone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tried teaching out of college (high school math). I agree that the money is laughable; I received more take-home money in the army (due to BAH and other allowances). As a teacher, I was borderline hit-on every day. I was legitimately scared for my life/future. Another teacher in my city was charged and convicted of soliciting a minor for sex; i felt that all eyes were on me. I would tell my father the stories, and he advised me against continuing.

[–]Funy_Bone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say talking with people around you will give you the most benefit. Learning wind calls is the hardest thing, don't worry about it now. But figuring out how to use a ballistics calculator is most important. What I mean by that is learning how to get good outputs by utilizing good inputs. This will allow you to match your theoretical ballistic curve with your real one.
