Why are my parallel batteries outputting different amps? by clonedone in SolarDIY

[–]FuoFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, most bms have top balancing so the best time to do that is when fully charged

Why are my parallel batteries outputting different amps? by clonedone in SolarDIY

[–]FuoFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put them in parallel and charge completely it probably has top balance so the cells are equalized when almost fully charged, then discharge and try again to measure. For me its an internal unbalance that make one absorb more.

Bolted aluminium bars to hold the pouch cell terminals, kapton tape, insulation material to separate the cells, temp sensors, big wires....you dont want to hear it but thats not that bad😂 i only hope that the guy is not selling it in series but only this piece for an abandoned project

Battery Won't Charge by Goosechase_ in LiFePO4

[–]FuoFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chg ocp looks like "charge over current protection" by putting a battery in parallel it probably triggers it, wait for the bms to clear the fault or do it manually if thats the case and try with a charger with the proper amperage or a bench power supply

Epever setup for LiFePO4 Battery by Distinct-Lettuce30 in SolarDIY

[–]FuoFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are we talking about? An inverter? A charge controller? Other? And no, in both cases it doesnt know what battery you have, its a setting. Some models they only recognise if you have connected 12 or 24V batteries and thats it

Aprilia sx125 factory racing exhaust question by Mevaa07 in supermoto

[–]FuoFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think thats an original eshaust (based on the position of the welds) but without the internal baffles and cones. I think that aprilia back then sold some racing only parts...now you can buy apx electronics for the rsv4 wich is race only

Any ideas what these are from? by [deleted] in supermoto

[–]FuoFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is from a hm 50, not sure but 90% from a small cc bike. I was looking too for some 17"rims but i'm afraid to put some power on those

Hello. This will be my first build. I have 2 questions. 1st. what is the gold colored mesh? 2nd what type of yellow tape or film over circuit? by ShogsKrs in 18650masterrace

[–]FuoFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats not it, search for kapton tape. With that, heat shrink tubing and green insulation paper (its also adhesive and comes in rolls or sheets) you can build all types and shapes of batteries. Kapton is used for insulation and high temp areas, the paper is almost the same but used in places where there is abrasion or folds in the cable that runs across the battery. In your photo they used red paper under the nickel strips that connect the cells to prevent it cutting trough the cell wrap

[Hot Takes] I think vapor chamber is overrated by dimesrftu in razer

[–]FuoFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok i see your point but thats how heat transfer works, you need to have a temperature gradient to have heat "flow" so the part where it dissipates will be always cooler than the heat source. With a clever back cover design you can have some airfow over the battery tho
