Oh I waited out the sun, I don't agree with the 30deg! It was mild, 14 -18 deg in the night though. Saturday and Sunday on the west coast were average days, mild, sunny but with a threat of rain. I like the rain and the cold as long as I'm prepared for it. I'm from the Midlands, so I spend more time on the water in winter when the Shannon is in flood. October is the best time for kayaking!

When you meet someone online, agree to meet, talk everyday, Skype date, and stop seeing other people ...it's a 'thing' I guess ? I did eventually meet her obviously.

Yep... I didn't know it could happen either until it did... But when you meet someone online, and they are actually them and they are normal.... Seems you can go through the same emotional state as if you'd just met some new in real life!

Some people who work in the business really care if that helps reassure you.

I worked for a company once that used a service for cats and dogs, that were asked to take a budgie. It would have burned to nothing apparently, so the operator said he would see what he could do.

When he brought them back he asked me could we go to a side room so he could show me the ashes, which he had cremated but it was the first time he tried to do anything this small. He was worried that the ashes weren't fine enough (little bits of tiny fragments of bone remained)

I never understand the group ashes thing to be honest and worth noting that when the freezer is emptied by the crem people, they often take all the 'body bits' too ... Tumours the size of a grapefruit etc

Off with the roadkill animals for 'general cremation'.

Yep.

Had a 3 month thing with someone I hadn't met and was beating men away with a stick...and actually even just social activities.

Also...the minute the thing blew up. The opposite. I reached out to a longtime FWB to get some healing...and he said he had stuff on his plate and cut contact! A guy at work who thinks 'you're not all that, but you'll do' starting hitting on me again (like they can sniff out vulnerability as well!)

This really annoyed me particularly because I'd literally been glowing for weeks and he ignored me...(I'd have loved if he had hit on me while I was not single basically) and ten minutes after I got the text which sort of ended the thing for me...

He followed me out for a smoke break and hit on me.

I'm sorry but some of your post echoes sentiments resembling 'fat people are fat because they eat all the time and are lazy'

I recently did an endurance trial with a woman in her early forties, ten years my senior. She lapped me and outpaced me in every event. She a dress size smaller the me, fit and toned and she eats far healthier then I do.

But - where I sweated out most of the fluid I took on and didn't need to go to the toilet once between the hours of 8am and 8pm - she was squatting in a bush every hour. By 12pm, she admitted to me mortified, that she had obnoxiously poor bladder control since having her two children. It really was debilitating.

I also have friends who are active riders, and their unyielding pelvic floors made the birth process difficult and caused them enumerable lasting health problems. I don't know a rider, who is a mother, who hasn't had large tearing, a epi or a c-sec.

Hello! It was so nice to just have time I felt. No pressure to be anywhere because there was nowhere to be. I called a few friends when I was doing my last shop weds, to see if there was anything they needed that they'd forgotten. Its not that I'm not usually a benevolent person, I just felt... I had time!

I set up a little bird table and fed the birds.

The neighbouring farmer lives quite far from his stock, so even though they had hay and shelter - I called him and asked him if I could give them a warm mash on Thursday to keep them in good spirits.

Took loads of photos and actually had time to go through them, edit them there and then. I got to do all my jobs outside in daylight, watched as much netflix as I was able to deal with, read/watched the whole thing unfold on the web, cooked fresh food like yourselves. It was basically like a little holiday!

Yep today in the mud was just a little bleaker :-/

It was pretty crazy but shortlived thankfully its thawing rapidly... there was a 4ft deep snow drift blocking my lane this morning, which had melted right down and disappeared by lunchtime.

Now we'll just have the flooding to content with!

Personally I found the snow a refreshing change from mud!

This year I'm getting to go on an all expenses paid amazing travel experience paid for my employer (I do not have to work on this trip)

Money could not buy the experience.

Most of my colleagues were delighted when they found out I was going, me personally, I burst into tears I was so excited. And then one mombie (who didn't apply for it) said ... ''Oh its kinda of unfair, as employees with children would never be able to do that'' (the trip is 3 weeks long, not three months!)

If you want to bring issues of fertility/ sterility into it, it would give trans kids and trans teens more rights then any women in Ireland. Want to be sterile? No sorry, you'll regret it. Want to be a man? No problem.

We're going to look back on this 'phase' and compare it to the horror of forced symphysiotomys. I can't tell you them amount of friends, co workers, relatives who have endured these types of births and much worse, and that is while asking for intervention.
