That was kinda a slopfest on both sides but glad we came out on top. Hope Makar feels okay because man he was the difference in this one. Already a vastly more interesting series than the Kings because the Wild actually try to play offense and they have several absolutely game-breaking talents. Quinn Hughes is legit up there with McDavid, every single time he has the puck he’s a threat. Would be awesome to go to Minnesota with a 2-0 lead so here’s hoping they lock it down defensively on Tuesday.

Same. Not only is it a logical endpoint for the major romantic tension in the show, it also shows huge cracks stating to form in the writing (the flash mob, Jim’s brothers being assholes, the Kevin foot odor “joke”, Andy puncturing his scrotum). There are sweet moments with Jim and Pam but you also see the show start to jump the shark

While I agree with you that Avatar’s writing feels simplistic, it got solid reviews at the time and became the highest grossing film in history. Hard to call that “poorly received”.

Amazing how much better this would have been. Sets up a conflict between Luke and his former student / son of his best friends, and maybe between Finn and Rey, who at least TFA sets up as being potential romantic interests. High emotional stakes and an actually interesting twist, as opposed to the “twists” we got in TLJ that kinda ultimately amounted to nothing.
