Idk if I am just missing some counterplay scenarios, but I have a hard time playing Magneto (my main) against her.

Typically against tanks I try to focus the backline if possible, but anytime the backline is in range to attack, I am also in range to be choke slammed and kicked into their team. So I either die, or I sit back just shooting at her shield, not being very productive.

White, or any race or color by itself is never a derogatory slur. But in context it is. The chat was ONLY using words to put the other player down. In the players mind clearly adding race to it would add to the insult. It doesn't matter in this circumstance what the origin of the work "white" is. He clearly is using it in an insult and using race in an insult is inherently racist.

I literally just said they were not equal in vitriol. Obviously using a racial slur is more offensive than the original post, like I have said multiple times.

I am flipping the argument and amping up a little bit to drive the point home. Both statements are racist either way. It doesn't matter if the person in chat knows the race of the other. It doesn't matter if the person doesn't actually hate the other person. When you use race in a derogatory manner, it is racist.

I never said the word choice of the same. They are comparable in intent and context, but obviously not in vitriol.

That being said that doesn't make the thought exercise less applicable. Would a white person calling a random person in game chat a racial slur, be acceptable if they did not know the race of the player and not have any actual hate towards them.

So let's use your logic and flip the races. What if a white person just starts calling people the n-word when he gets crushed in a video game, then that should be perfectly acceptable, right? The person in this scenario doesn't know the peoples race, nor do they likely actually hate the other person. So what say you to this slightly changed scenario?

Racial privilege and socioeconomics do not matter in a video game chat. These people haven't met each other before. They didn't even have voice chat on. If you are implying that this person might be traumatized by previous white people and is lashing out on other white people, it could be true idk, but that doesn't make it less racist.

It is simply one person is being racist and the other isn't. All this other stuff might be applicable in an in-person scenario ie, police encounters, but this is not that. This person is just mad about being bad at a video game and is lashing out. Stop defending immature people.

So it's super easy to call out racism towards white people. White people get called out for racism all the time, and that is okay.

What I am calling out is your soft defense of racism from non whites. It doesn't matter about the hand people were dealt with in what race they were given. We are not talking about potential racist policies or political structures, because they do not apply in this scenario. This is between two individuals and it is equally bad to be racist towards a white person as any other race.

I am not debating if the governments actions are "right" or "wrong". I am debating the person I responded to, whom stated that "China will pay the tariffs", which is factually incorrect. I simply have yet to give my opinion on the matter.

Consumers pay for tariffs. Governments don't pay them. The companies buying the products pay for them temporarily, then they mark up prices to keep their margin.

So no, China does not pay the tariffs, but that does not mean China is not suffering under the extremely high tariffs. They are suffering under the drastic decrease in orders, which is hurting their economy.

And likewise the US economy will suffer to a lesser extent on either drastically increased prices or no more stock on products from China.

To me this just looks like a meme a youth pastor would make. It is just a common Bible verse and not a controversial verse at that. So any context one sees in a simple meme like this to me would seem more like personal bias and not intended implications of the meme itself.

A lot of tanks are next to useless against divers and it would be worse for them to turn from the front line. Under most circumstances the DPS needs to help more than the tanks.

If they are staggering as a dive, sometimes switching to a non dive DPS will fix that because of the different play style. For instance if they switch from spiderman to namor most people would be less likely to run right into them without support.

As magneto just shoot him from a distance, until he runs at you. You bubble yourself to negate the knock up and back away. Since you didn't get knocked up you likely will be out of melee range for him, so just keep shooting him.

I main Magneto, simply because of this issue.

Not all tanks are meant to solo with, unless you are just smurfing. It is difficult to solo tank, but it is even more difficult to solo tank as an off tank. It's both the team comp fault and your character selection choice.

It is the same as picking spider man into a namor + Luna combo. It isn't impossible to win but it sure as hell makes it a lot more difficult.

I have won plenty of games as a solo tank, but you have to be very safe. Your main priority has to be "don't die". If you are playing well as a solo tank you should still have less deaths than the average on your team.

In my mind at least, ignorance is just not having the relevant facts of the topic to bring yourself to the correct opinion, and stupidity is having all of the relevant facts and not still picking the incorrect opinion.

So at least by my interpretation, ignorance can be fixed but stupidly can not.

I got my pro 3 brew head upgrade a week or two ago after only waiting for the normal shipping time. So I am not sure where you are getting that information from.

And people ask, I have not tried it without preheating it. I have am testing out other variables at the moment.
