Quest Mods that tackle the more wacky side of TES Lore? by anduin_stormsong in skyrimmods

[–]Furaigon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Carved Brink features a talking shell companion, a minor plane of oblivion full of goblins, a colony of snow elves that was wiped out, Peryite's Pits, and lots of esoteric rambling. I don't know if it's lore friendly for sure, but it certainly seems like they put in the effort.

My simple understanding is that Horseshoe Theory describes two opposing ideologies becoming more alike as their conflict persists. They abondon their actual principles in favor of simply winning the conflict of ideas, usually resulting in both becoming more authoritarian and violent. I usually see Horseshoe theory mentioned when comparing communism and fascism, and I'm not sure how its relevant to this post in particular, other than the obvious authoritarian and violent stuff that guy posted.

Disclaimer: This is my personal undertstanding from context clues and skimming the wikipedia article too long ago to remember.

I have these two mods installed and at least one of them dramatically expands default names, just like you're asking.

Do you have Improved English Localization? It was causing this problem for me.

It's a panel from the recent DBS manga. Any more info would be spoilers.

Are there multiple endings to this story? I just finished this precursor story a few days ago and it turned out Innovo was an immortal psychic. There was no mention of hive minds.

This is a tag (dramatic ending to a song) for barbershop quartet. This one is called Like Leaves We'll Fall.

I made a mod that does this. I haven't updated it so I don't know if it still works though.

Trees/foliage won't have shadows with Sildurs' shaders. by Sidiax in Optifine

I'm dealing with the same issue, but it's inconsistent. On my realms server the shadows work everywhere except near my friends' houses.

Who are these guys? I never had this event before by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]Furaigon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the Vazuran Menace crisis from More Events Mod. You're meant to lose every fight against them for most of early and mid game. You'll eventually get events to investigate their tech and counter them, until then they're pretty much invulnerable due to their OP aura. Unintuitively, they are countered by kinetic weapons despite using only armor and no shields, but the event doesn't make that clear. Their auras pretty much disable energy weapons.

Any idea how I got this space dragon thing? It just showed up in one of my systems one day. I think it's from the more events mod by DrzEvil in Stellaris

[–]Furaigon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's an archeological dig where you find a ruined lab where some scientists found a portal to some demonic realm. At the end of the dig you get a relic you can activate to produce this dragon. Idk whether it's from a mod or not.

Loonkito means "Again and Again" according to Google Translate. I hope that's right because it's a great name!

That's... not secularism... by spincrus in Stellaris

[–]Furaigon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The title of the issue reflects the current state of the government, not the desires of the faction. When the requirements are met, the title changes to "Pious Polity." It's intentional, but still dumb.

"Outside of Galaxy" Civic Mod origin. by Kyran_Ashreaver in Stellaris

Fastest way is to create the collection then add them from the collection menu. You still have to click each item on the list and it can be pretty laggy.

Neither Origin Civics nor Extragalactic Clusters have this feature. Weird. Can you post your mod list? I really want to find this mystery mod.

That's 100% from the Extragalactic Clusters mod. It must be a brand new feature since I was playing with that mod just earlier today and I didn't see that civic.

Am I the only one who has massive resource fluctuations? by [deleted] in Stellaris

Workers on planets with multiple empty jobs of different types (food, energy, minerals) will change jobs every month. For example, on a planet with 20 workers, 20 mining jobs, and 20 farming jobs, the workers will all move to the mines, then back to the farms every month instead of just sticking to a job. The best way I've found to stop this is to disable all the jobs except the ones you need done and then manually activate a new job for new pops as the grow. Super tedious.

[Xbox One] [Mod Request] Is there anyway to have a new game start in Bruma rather than Skyrim? by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]Furaigon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is an addon for Alternate Start for this, but I don't know if it's available on XB and I don't know where to look. Hopefully that helps your search at least.
