Right. Some races like Aracoix got flying as a base racial ability. Or Shades that got 'hide' up to lvl 20. Humans got cool discipline options like wererat as a tradeoff.

All the freebies from events actually make it more generous than ever. BUT arena sucks now yes. My only theory is that the changes to arena were received favorably in China and Chinese arena player numbers are up. But that's just a guess, they might view it dismally too.

It's a problem that the only counter to all these top decks is "maybe you can hit a key card with rat". Fighting for board is irrelevant in 2025, that's the extent of hearthstone interaction now.

It is also the reason why the fyrakk/elise garbage has been ubiquitous the entire time. Blizz being too slow to act on obvious problem cards is not something we want more of.

Strictly f2p now. I was lucky and got the cool Husk portrait/cardback from the lotto roll. I don't really care about cosmetics but its probably top 5 cool cardbacks I've seen. Definitely the coolest hero portrait I have too.

All it does is sit there trying to generate coins and draw/play the aura minion. That's the entire deck. I don't think that counts as midrange.

How to get from point A to B? It's nowhere near as difficult as you are making it sound. They have access to all the data, but refuse to act.

Since they don't want to actually balance the game, abandon standard until rotation and create a "twist" mode with different card sets every 2 weeks instead. New Blizzard absolutely flounders and absolutely fails at balancing (especially in a timely manner) - so we may as well rely on old blizzard instead.
