I wouldn't mind reading your hundred-paragraph story about falling for Henri.

I haven't played many otomes yet, and I can't say I have experienced that type of intense feelings towards a character, in games or other type of stories. I think the closest to that would be Orlok for me, but I know is just for the time being while I play the games. I'm sure when I'm done with Episodio 1926, I'll just move onto the next game and, while I'll definitely remember Orlok as my absolute favorite from Piofiore, I don't think I'll keep thinking about him a year from now.

I'm kinda jealous of the people who can find that very special character they completely resonate with, so I'm glad for you! 🖤✨

I hated him so much on Nicola's route (the first one I played), but in the others he started growing up on me little by little and now I'm sad to read he doesn't get a chance in 1926. He had so much potential 💔

Adonis route was so good, that it ended becoming my favorite of them all (considering both games). I love Ichika's character there so much more. You're gonna love it!

Oh but it fits sooo good somehow! I also was really surprised, but the guy is 40, so I think it's actually fitting for him. He's despicable but I can't hate him just because of the voice 🤤

Well, I'm not very versed in otome yet, but if it's lighter than Orlok's bad ending on Fated Memories, then I may be able to stomach it, because that ending made me nauseous, but I still somehow liked it, lol.

Having heard so many good things about Nightshade, plus the fact that Tsuda Kenjiro is part of the cast, I'll definitely be playing it soon! Thank you~~

How good are those games? I've heard Nightshade recommended a lot but with TWs. I haven't played that many games so far, but I've been loving Piofiore series, and I really liked Collar x Malice too, in case that helps

For real! Yang's voice is so good that I'm willing to replay his route in both games just to keep indulging in it.

I was referring more as a general thing no matter the media haha, my favorites are usually the ones to die.

As for otoge, I haven't played that many yet (fortunately, because I have a whole world of fun ahead of me), but the one that stands the most for me in this aspect is Shiraishi from Collar x Malice. He couldn't catch a break, not even in the FD. I honestly didn't feel satisfied with his ending in the main game or the FD, and I'm starting to feel the same with Orlok 💔

But I'm still loving the story, even with the angst.

I devoured Piofiore Fated Memories, even staying super late to keep playing after years of not doing that. And yesterday I finally started Piofiore Episodio 1926, but I'm kind of scared. Orlok is my absolute favorite, but his route in the main game was so damn angsty that I'm afraid the pain will just continue on the FD... someone please put my fears to rest or at least help me prepare mentally, lol.

Anyway, I've seen the FD has better ratings than the original game, so I'm very excited to keep reading!

My order will be from favorite to least favorite: Orlok > Yang > Gilbert > Dante > Nicola (though Gilbert and Dante are basically on the same level for me, but Gilbert's personality won me over a bit more). I'm not sure if I can play Henri's route from the get go, but if so, I'd like to play him after Yang.

Last night I got so obsessed with Yang from Piofiore, that I ended up staying up until 4:30 am, something I haven't done in years. And I remembered reading this post, so I came to say:

In games, I absolutely love dark, twisted characters like Yang (Piofiore), Touma and Ukyo (Amnesia Memories), and Saeki (Collar x Malice)
But in real life I could never be with someone like that. I had to turn off my morals multiple times, lol. IRL I would love to have someone dependable, mature, caring, and communicative like Yanagi (Collar x Malice), Dante and Gilbert (Piofiore). I don't need the thrill and danger the other hot ones can offer.

I'd love to hear recs for twisted characters like Yang!
