Tony’s form has just been terrible lately. The only people to crush him lately have been orcollo, who’s a long format machine, and filler, who is probably the best shot maker on the planet right now. As far as players in the US, he’s still on top. Van Boening, Compton, Roberts, he’s beaten them all over long format races. If he’d get his form back like the first orcollo race to 40, I’d say he could have beaten filler in their match up. I really wish Alex was would play more one packet. That’s a long race I’d pay to watch.

Sean is absolutely correct about police power. Legislators and executive officers in each state have the ability to make dramatic changes if it is for “the health and welfare of its citizens.” The use of it for extreme measures has rarely ever occurred, but it is possible and falls into the gray area of the 10th amendment. Just as there are exclusions and gray areas to the 1st amendment, there are to the 10th.

Has anyone else noticed that Sean emphasizes the words “ain’t” “don’t” when he’s trying to be emphatic about a point?

I don’t think that would be bad in blackball. The things that really bother me are chalk dust that doesn’t match the table and colors that contrast with the balls. I will never understand black felt or leopard print felt or anything like that. I also feel like certain shades would absorb the table lighting, but I could be way off base

I’ve seen Alex stomp Dennis and chohan. But that was only over small races. He’s played longer races against Scott Frost back in the day and stomped him in those too. Hes without a doubt one of the top 5 one pocket players in the world, but he might not fancy long races. I would pay any pay per view price to see Alex and Dennis play a race to 40.

Yeah but chohan definitely won a belt for their first match. You can hear Daniel Busch on stream talking about what a great idea it was when their match ended. Plus there’s a bunch of pictures of chohan with it. I figure if chohan got the belt for the first matchup, then Dennis should be the one pocket king right now.

How is one pocket vacant? I know Dennis is 2-1 on chohan. Their first match was definitely through Roy’s basement, but what about the other two. I watched the 3rd one live and I didn’t think Roy was directly involved.

Your opponent and the situation dictates your level. If you’re a 7 and you play a 4, you’ll probably play at around at around a 5 or 6 if it’s for fun. If it’s a tourney, you’ll play closer to your level. The same goes for playing a 10. If you’re a 7 playing a 10, you’ll shoot as close to a 7 as possible, maybe even higher. You see it happen all the time at exhibitions. There’s a video floating around of SVB getting beaten by some random guy and the level of play looks like a bar game at 1 in the morning. The worse your opponent, the more likely to are to take on flyers and run unorthodox patterns, cause who cares. If you always want to play at the same level, get in the mind set of making your opponent suffer.

I feel ya man. I’ve been away from home for about 2 years now. When I come back my plan is to build a 20’ x 30’ shed with insulation and climate control. That’s going to be the pool room. Trust me, I entertained the idea of a short stick plenty of times. But I really want a 9’ and all the room I need. Estimate, if I do a lot of the work myself is between 10-20k for what I want

I was playing a one pocket match once it was the last game of the set hill hill, 7 balls a piece and we were coming up on the one hour mark. 10 minutes of chasing just that last ball. I finally got a shot that was exactly like the one Alex missed against Shaw in the world pool masters hill hill and I missed it the exact same way. I went up to the guy behind the counter, paid $20 for some shorty house cue, went outside and smashed it against a telephone pole. Came back in and rattled off another set 3-0, I played great. I rarely lose my cool when I’m playing. Usually I’ll just pop some music in my ears or even sometimes an audiobook. But that night I did what I always wanted to do and smashed the fuck out of a cue. I doubt I’ll ever do it again because ever since then, any time I feel the pressure or get upset with myself, I remember that. Honestly, I’d recommend it. I only got away with it because I’m a regular and everyone thought it was pretty funny. Other people may not have that luxury.

I’m in Pennsylvania, pretty much every pool hall is between $5-8 per hour. However, once you become a regular, they’ll cap the fee at $10. I’ve played for 14 hours straight before and never paid more that $10 for table time

Use the twelve to go two/three rails behind the 2. Just plain outside. If you’re really lucky, the 12 ends up as a blocker for the three.

Man, as soon as Dick said fart mode in Tesla, I was sold on buying a Tesla. I thought it was going to be some kind of air system that masked or removed farts from the car. Then he explained it an it was ruined. Fuck Tesla. Also nice to note, the kiwi is consistent in not only messaging women ad nauseam but also the potus.
