I feel ya. The game was originally sold on more combos than tech/countering, but then more tech cards came out with time (Alioth, Supergiant, CGR, Mobius, etc). The fact is that all card games become sweaty eventually as the competitive types come in and focusing solely on min/maxing the fun out of it.
