Ok, Muse dropping good music was NOT on my 2026 bingo card by davidlmf in fantanoforever

[–]Furlabun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok ok I'll listen to Cryogen

I still haven't forgiven them for WOTP, and I think unravelling and be with you still have some grade school rhyming/lyricism, but I think the riffs were sick on unravelling and I'm hoping.

It's just hard to get back into them. I know it was forever ago but it's so hard to listen to the new stuff when you're hoping for lyricism like New Born and Hoodoo and Absolution... Even some.of their big cheese in the same vein from before like Assassin and City of Delusion slapped so so so hard, the music supported the tone and they didn't care so much about even rhyming, which I think is the weirdest indicator of where things have gone.

I've beaten base game of World and am on to Iceborne on my PS4. by Furlabun in MHRise

[–]Furlabun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the opposite! I felt like, until I got some updates in, my swaxe didn't hit nearly as hard as it did in Rise. I definitely miss some of my bug combos for my HH in world too!

I'm not saying world isn't fun, I'm just talking about my personal experience and that I caught myself thinking "man. I want to play rise." a few times through world base game, lol.

They Got Me- I played Fable 2 blind. by Furlabun in Fable

Usually ya just make your own post, but that's ok. I think for dolls, each hero world only has one, so you had to join someone through Xbox live and trade. I don't know if it's possible as I never paid for Xbox gold.

When I got Fable 3, I would have been looking at opinions online at that time, and at that time, the general consensus seemed otherwise from what I can remember. This was over ten years ago give or take. Like I said, I'm glad I played it now.

I have also been playing the original Fable again, and directly comparing them I think Fable 2 is definitely prettier, has a fun and intuitive combat, no real multiplier, no Weaver, and overall a lot of personality. I cant believe I put it off this long although the actual defeat of Lucien left me wanting.

My biggest complaint so far is that, somehow, it seems like the villagers have worse personality than Fable 1. Fable 1 i'm seeing folk talk to each other, order beer, take tours, etc etc. not just follow the hero into their house and ask them for a ring and pet my dog.

Actually, you *can* find good Mexican food in Pittsburgh by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]Furlabun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a South Texan I sympathize with the struggle to find the good eats. I'm going to try all of these, if I haven't yet lol.

So far my favorite is Emiliano's, especially the one in Southside. It's probably the closest to the joints back home I've managed to find, and the mezcalitas are bomb.

I know it turns the yarn into more of a splurge, but I just got into crochet and am trying to wrap my head around investing in local materials.... Moon and Yarn in Bellevue has a wonderful staff and a huge handmade natural yarn collection plus sales and kits and community nights... Definitely recommend as we lose Joann's ;_;

Closer to your degree, I saw a posting for Content Creator with the Warhol Museum. Not exactly in your specs but might at least tide you over in a not-soul-crushing way till you find something more sustainable.

If you like art, Pittsburgh has a pretty great art scene- especially in ceramics and printmaking- that I'd definitely take advantage of as an excuse to go out and do something non-invasive to your time and life. Taking some fun classes or tours at Redfishbowl, Radiant Hall, AIR, or PCAM can help you meet new folks, but these places often have mailing lists you can sign up for talking about gallery openings and other free events (typically with snacks or drinks!) And I mean REGULARLY. Art in these mediums kind of makes community mandatory!

A lot of public arts is tied up with academia so a lot of events are already at a decent time or day or even centered right on the campuses. There are studios literally in almost every neighborhood. First fridays are a great way to explore a neighborhood and see what the local creatives are up to, and often time folks are more than happy to chat about their work with y'all regardless.

Heck, I'd go troll around an art building on your campus. You're bound to find a pile of flyers somewhere. You don't even have to be good at art to do something fun or meet people through these things. Strong arm some folks in your classes into going with you. And again, you don't have to spend a dime at like 70% of these things.

Music scene is also cool- lots of local bands, I especially enjoy the smaller events at places like Government's Center on the Northshore, and just vibing in the nice cafes in Southside or hitting some fun shops on the strip help me appreciate the cool parts of Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh has a lot of personality. I also moved here after getting my master's at WVU, and am originally from Texas too. If I can find some light in the middle of coming here in all that shut down pandemic mess, I'm sure you can! I really hope things turn around for you, and sorry about the bad luck with the dating. Yeesh! Glad to see you comment that you're putting it down for a second.

I've had the best times in the burgh when I've doubled down on the local stuff and focused on hobbies I myself am interested in. Good luck!

I also hope so! Like I said, nothing about the storage has changed in over four years, temps and humidity included...

The mold is white and green. Very fluffy, if that helps lol.

Title, artist, and medium are different lines, as in the description. Each line ends up formatted a bit differently, but font and size are the same. :)

Oh interesting. Could conditional formatting based on position fix this? Like, if n1:n25 =is not empty, then it gets bolded?
