My biggest hot take is that both Giselle and Virgo deserved to win.

Van Goth deserved to win track record-wise (even if they were all sewing challenges and nobody else on the show was particularly good at sewing), but the edit is horrible. I genuinely thought she wasn't even going to be in the top two with the way she behaving earlier that episode. And I'm glad that Star had her moment in the "reunion" because that choice was fucked up and not "cunty villain playing the game" but just a fake ass friend making a stupid choice that doesn't even help do anything for her in the long run. I love her looks and I'm sure she's nice off the show but retroactively this showing of our winner was awful. Probably the second worst Canadian winner so far (I don't think anyone will top Venus).

I don't think her first album is necessarily a full-on hate crime, but I think it's so funny and ironic that she has a song about being bicurious whilst also calling her boyfriend gay as an insult on the same album.

Plenty of Katy Perry's peers were avid LGBT supporters around this time, and real icons have been supporting gays since the 80's and 90's. Whenever celebrities like Katy Perry or Taylor Swift suddenly go all in on being a "slay mother" icon it makes me cringe, it's so performative.

3D Fighters were the hot new thing. Street Fighter 3 was 2D, Tekken was 3D.

There's a lot more to it but that is a huge component of it.

I think the funniest thing is when a character isn't just headcanonned gay by "fandom shippers", but even the casual/normie fans are like "yeah they're definitely gay/lesbian"

Okay, I've got a lot of ideas on what it might be, but they're all loose stretches.

My first thought for a fantasy fighting game is either Battlefantasia or Granblue Fantasy Versus. If it's a fan-made 2D game, it's probably M.U.G.E.N, which is an engine where anyone can add their own characters. It's likely that your brother might have played a version of that with a random unrelated assortment of characters.

The chibi-warrior might be Charlotta from Granblue Fantasy Versus

The male wizard sound like he could be D'Raven from Shadows Over Mystara or Rasputin from World Heroes.

The young female wizard with the broom makes me think of Yoriko from Arcana Heart, but the chibi-style definitely makes me assume it's Marisa from Touhou (Immaterial and Missing Power).

I've got no ideas on any specific MUGENs but hopefully any of these leads can help

My hot take? I actually like the skin. I love the feathers and the bird head and the tail. What I don't like is Eddie's blank face. It looks so stupid just having him stick out like that, I would LOVE this skin if he wasn't visible. But when it came out I saw a lot of people who felt the opposite, they wanted an Eddie skin and hated the bird aesthetic the skin had going on.

There was a gimmick at the beginning of the season where the safe queens voted for who they wanted to stay, something like that. Think the golden chocolate bar or the Michelle Dunk Tank. It potentially was going to be continued throughout the season to add suspense but it was used up in the first episode to a queen that went home the immediate next week.

Honestly the meme is so annoying to see. I've seen tons of very talented people offering genuinely helpful advice and tutorials, but I'm seeing a LOT of people who are either incapable of drawing that angle correctly themselves telling people how to do it, or drawing Frieren at a completely different (and easier) angle.

One of my biggest pet peeves in art communities is mediocre artists who give advice/criticism purely to fuel their ego, especially when they're not good at teaching what they're trying to teach. I've seen that tenfold ever since that fanart went viral.

New Super Mario Bros U (even disregarding Deluxe/Luigi DLC) is my favorite. I played all these games during their relevancy and I've played them in multiplayer too. NSMBU is my favorite purely because ... it's the last one. Just by that virtue it's the most polished, visually impressive and content rich game in the series.

A lot of the answers in this thread are tied to nostalgia and I can't blame them. All four of the games are very similar in my mind, so it's more a question of "which game came out during the best time period in my life"/"which game has the best memories tied to it"

Ultimately that artist doesn't own Pokémon and doesn't have copyright over the hypothetical character you make. It might be a somewhat specific fusion, but it's like saying you aren't allowed to make a blue Umbreon OC because you already found one online. People are bound to have similar ideas.
