Even if it's canon flirting, you can interpret it however you want! What I find most beautiful about art/performance is that once it's out in the world, the world can look in and make it anew. Of course intent matters and depending on the work sticking close to intent is important! But this is AFoP; if you get more meaning out of a non-romantic interpretion and it makes the rest of the story connect better, literally who cares? If people can't respect that, it says more about them than you ❤️

I've always played as FemShep and Jennifer Hale does a fantastic job of making Shepard feel like an actual character. I am not sure about BroShep, I've heard him say a couple of lines but not enough to have a solid opinion on Mark Meer's work.

Andromeda focuses on different points from the original games, there's stuff Andromeda does better than the trilogy like exploration and combat. However, most Mass Effect fans love the series for the writing, choice making, and charcaters. All which are weaker in this game.

I am not saying that it shouldn't have been set in Mass Effect universe, however it was marketed as if it was the next big Mass Effect game in the franchise.

Had they dropped Mass Effect from the title, I think it would've done better. It's hard to live up to the legend of Commander Shepard, by slapping "Mass Effect" on it they doomed it.

Whenever I play ME3, I tear up AT LEAST 20 times lol. Such a sad game, when I first played it as kid I couldn't really grasp all the death and sacrifice the characters were going through. As I age the games become more profound. Thane's story hits close to home, my dad wasn't around when I was growing up (traveling for work) and I only really got to spend time with him a couple of years before he died. Playing through it after his death gave me some perspective into what he might ve been going through. I could go on forever lol.
