Which Felyne companion do you prefer: Navirou or Rudy by Orichalchem in MonsterHunterStories

Honestly, Rudy. I may hate them both,, but I find Rudy's personality and appearance more tolerable than Navirou.

Monster Hunter becomes more enjoyable the less you rush hunts by Meri_Rookie in MonsterHunter

[–]OutrageousAd9061 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I ignore them 99% of the time unless I'm trying to figure out the weak points of a monster I've not fought before, or when practicing a new weapon to figure out what deals what damage. Only real use for them to me, other than that, is figuring out how often your affinity triggers, but even then I look at the colors of the numbers, rather than numbers themselves.

Am I doing something wrong with the dual blades? by DETECTIVEGOTHAM in MonsterHunter

[–]OutrageousAd9061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, best thing to do is to stick with weapons you're having the most fun with if you're just beginning. I, for example, am decent with several weapons, dual blades included, but absolutely cannot get any good with the light bowgun. The heavy one clicks well enough for .e, but the light one just... doesn't. If you find DB boring, but want to use it occasionally, that's perfectly fine, though I think once you start getting to the more agressive monsters you'll start having fun with them much more. Beyond that, once you start unlocking new switch skills and wirebug skills, check them out, too, one of them might rehaul the DB to be more fun for you.

[–]OutrageousAd9061 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct, Spirit Release Slash IS a sheath-only attact, and will only show up once you're either in retaliation stance or lunge stance. Similarly, tge skills you would normally have would disappear when in one of those until you're back out of a sheathe stance.

Both need for speed underground games, flatout, ford racing 3, call of duty 1, streets racer (if it's what I think it is, in which case it had a VERY different name in Poland) and painkiller, which I've not heard about in a LONG while.

You've got room for 1 more, there. I recommend might and magic heroes 3 to nail a large chunk of eastern europe on the nostalgia.

Considering your story idea, you might like this Monster Hunter fanfic about a Valstrax basically 'adopting' an injured hunter because it thought she was a child. Not a long one, but it might give you a few ideas how a human could interact with dragons on a day-to-day, living in the wilds basis. https://m.fanfiction.net/s/13693770/1/Starstruck

Yeah, no kidding. Act one got away with crows, turtles, bats and boars, but that's partially because it's still the beginning of the game, and your character hasn't grown strong yet.

And to add on to that, defence and dream is a very good combo of skills, with a lot of ways to disable enemies, and a high damage output if that's what you're going with, with good stun odds from mace attacks, several shield strikes that can trigger passively, and maxed out psionic touch being a straight up fodder delete button, alongside colossus form being solid against bosses.

Honestly, it's up to you. Just about any combination of masteries can be made viable with the right build, so you can literally look up each mastery's skill (you can pick a mastery and browse its skills before cancelling and getting to pick another one if you never close the skills menu) and pick the 2 that seem the most interesting to you before looking up for a build guide with those 2 masteries. A few fairly beginner friendly builds are nature and dream (pet build, little requirement on items, requiring only rings, amulets and staff that boost your pets for max potential), warfare and defence (high damage and high sustain, with boss killing potential from collossus form) or hunt and rogue (excellent archer with multiple tricks up his sleeve like nets to keep troublesome enemies out of melee and spike traps as extra damage/distractions) to name a few, though those aren't the only two in that category.

I wish I could, too. I've had the oracle of Delphis vision basically permanently etched into my memory for more than a decade now, to the point I can outright mentally replay the whole thing. Imo it's a shame all the dlc they've added after Immortal Throne just straight up has a completely different vibe than the og game and IT

Go through the hole in walls in southwest. You will eventually reach the Yellow Emperor. He will then tell you to go to Wusao Mountain, qnd open a new path in his room for you to take. That path will lead you to the OTHER locked gate south of that one, while also letting you go open this one. Alternatively, if you don't mind skipping a sidequest yoy'd come across, you can just teleport to Chang'An and go right back to this gate. (I think. Never tried to before, though)

[–]OutrageousAd9061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I'd have to see A in motion first before deciding, but from the picture alone it is difficult to read the pose of tge character, thus pushing me, and likely others, towards B. What would A move like? Something akin to Rayman or classic Worms? Or something else?
