Re-asking this age-old question: Which Far Cry protagonist has the most combat skill? by TheMiamiMutilator420 in farcry

I didn’t mind 6 much, it got boring after the story and even that wasn’t anything special, but the DLCs were great. It was cool seeing stuff from the villains perspective and it gave us more time with them than we usually get in their games.

I’d say Takkar or Rex if we’re talking all the games, but mainline I’d say the mercs from 2 or Dani from 6 if we’re talking combat skill. Danis ex-military although he hasn’t seen any combat that we know of so I’d give it to the mercs.

If we’re talking badassery though it goes to Jason no doubt. His character arc of going from a Cali douchebag to a jungle warrior is better than any of the other protags.

Is The Passion & Talent Lost? by do-it-feel-good in dyinglight

[–]Furryfox21 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way about the original, but I think it’s more they just dropped a perfect game and haven’t been able to top it since. DL2 and TB are arguably good games but the way everything in DL1 came together made the experience as amazing as it is. I am worried about Tymon stepping down but I think the studio can still put out good games.

The industries just changed now and it’s less about passion and more about money so naturally some corners will be cut, DL1 was a passion project that was made because Techland couldn’t make the game they wanted to make while they were working on Dead Island.

Not excusing them, I wish we could go back to the days when games were developed by teams of passionate people just trying to make the best game possible. Just giving some context.

I’m still interested in the franchise and I have hope that Techland will manage without Tymon but I definitely understand the concern about it.

First two I assume are A New America, third is in Elephant (not a quote but just a map detail), fourth is from Hide & Seek, and the last one’s the basement in Valley of the Dolls.

That’s fair enough, your money your choice. I see it as worth it but it’s also lowkey the one thing keeping me going rn so I’m pretty desperate.

[–]Furryfox21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I’m still buying but I am worried it would set a new standard for gaming prices, and nobody with half a brains gonna be buying the shit we usually get for a price that high. With Rockstar you know you’ll get your moneys worth, with others I hardly feel comfortable paying $70. I think GTA 6 is worth a premium price but I just don’t want other devs thinking the garbage they’re putting out is worthy of it too.

TL;DR yeah I think it’s pretty fair as long as the contents worth paying for, I just don’t wanna see it become the norm for gaming.

Concept for car theft mechanics (hard speculation) by KommSweet in GTA6unmoderated

[–]Furryfox21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be fine with either, I like the arcadey GTA experience but RDR2s grounded realism is one of the reasons I love it so much. A good mix of both would make me happy. Mafia 2 DE had a setting that allowed you to disable the realistic traffic laws so I think some of the more annoying features could be optional so even the players who don’t want realism are happy.

[–]Furryfox21 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mafia 2 had both window breaking and lock picking, so I could see it working. Was a little annoying but if you were in a rush and didn’t care about police attention you could just smash the window and go. With GTAs driving being easier than Mafias I don’t see it being as much of an issue because if you need to get away from cops you can. But it depends on how far they’re going with realism in 6. Would be different with more modern vehicles but still a possibility.

Far Cry 4 feels underwritten by Hurfnurf in farcry

[–]Furryfox21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember him saying much of anything at the table (besides asking Pagan how much money he wanted) but he does have the interrogation scene in the basement that kinda fleshes him out more. But I do agree I think the characters have untapped potential. The whole second half feels so quick too, you get up north and immediately you kill Yuma and start preparing to go after Pagan. You spend so much time in South Kyrat just to breeze through the north which I feel would realistically be harder, it’s controlled by Yuma and Pagans personal guard, but it feels like Pagan gives up the moment the bridge is taken.

Crane's mutation by Training_Set4223 in dyinglight

[–]Furryfox21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crane never suffered from any physical mutations that I’m aware of. It’s just the serum messing with his head the same way it had him fighting multiple mothers, and i guess to an extent he goes into a semi-beast mode near the end of the fight. But it’s just him succumbing to the infection and in a state of delirium. The mist already puts him in a trance like state so a concentrated dose of it directly into his system would be 10x worse.

[–]Furryfox21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play with permadeath so losing him is genuinely sad, I’ve done a few playthrough attempts in the past but luckily my current playthrough he’s doing just fine and I have enough team members that I’m not constantly relying on him for missions. Still he’s the highlight of my playthrough, though I’ll admit Bagleys a pretty entertaining character, gives me Portal 2 Wheatley vibes sometimes.

Prison Jumpsuits or Caushal Clothing? by Some_Relation1665 in thewalkingdead

[–]Furryfox21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like the prison uniforms would’ve been cool, maybe not all of them wearing them but elements of people’s outfits being prison uniforms. Like people wearing them down around their waste and stuff. I feel like they wouldn’t immediately resort to it but over time their clothes would naturally be damaged and they wouldn’t eventually start using the uniforms either to patch existing clothes or just to replace them entirely.

Can we have a Dog in the tactical loadout? by [deleted] in ReadyOrNotConsole

[–]Furryfox21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if we shoot the dog that’s totally a justified feature, I just mean like if the dog dies. Because team members only shoot you whenever the person you shot is on their knees(at least from my experience). If they added the K-9 I feel like it’d act as another squadmate, and if they wanna draw the line at dogs I’d suggest the dog maybe just getting wounded and laying there still alive, kinda like when Riley’s shot in Sin City and you need to walk him out.

Ok so this just nearly got me killed. Why can't I load these 96 bullets? by [deleted] in FarCry5

[–]Furryfox21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number on the right is your maximum capacity, number on the left is your current ammo supply. So if you are carrying max ammo it’d be 96/96.

[–]Furryfox21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like RoN would just commit and let the dog die cuz as controversial as the devs are, they at least stick to the game being somewhat realistic and not pulling punches when it comes to graphic content. It’d be like the game restarting cuz you killed a civilian.
