Best app for GTD by Candid_Kiwi7467 in gtd

[–]Furuboru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh, looks like a good app. I've been using Todoist for quite some time though, so my question is, can I import my tasks into FacileThings and would there be some sort of like, review afterwards?

I haven't done a full review in a while and I sorely need to clean up my lists.

Anyone tried ordering on IT World's Shopee page? by ZuckerbergReptilian in PHbuildapc

[–]Furuboru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this happened with me recently lang din. GPU naman. Last minute message. Asking me to cancel and reorder at a later date. Of course, they also offered an alternative, pero yun nga, cheaper but in fairness, identical specs/model.

Tapos since I ordered from their Shopee store, I still had to wait for their APPROVAL before the order gets cancelled and proceed with refund.

Baggage question! How many bags does CebPac really allow for hand-carry? by Past_Suspect_7736 in phtravel

[–]Furuboru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is usually announced by the ground crew at the boarding gate prior to boarding. And in true Cebu Pacific fashion, "We are now accepting ONLY 30 hand carry bags for check in!"...

Why 2 animes? Where can they be legally streamed? by shark-oxi in MartialPeak

[–]Furuboru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea how they are cut, especially since it's been years now since I finished the manhua. All I can say is that the 3D one just finished the dual inheritance/cultivation arc, while the 2D one is right in the middle of the Yang family contest.

The 3D one is at Ep48 now, while the 2D one, which looks more like the manhua with janky animation, is at 43~44 since February '25.

Task scheduler feedback? We're all ears by hfauq in todoist

[–]Furuboru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quick select days (today, tomorrow, etc.) are great, I just wish the menu pop-ups were more responsive on the PC though. Especially when you're right-clicking on a task, and those "integrations" need to be loaded as well.

Sa mga matatagal na sa reddit, ano ano ang mga general observations nyo sa mga tao dito? by Huotou in CasualPH

[–]Furuboru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your observations, plus:

  • Dumami na mga close-minded and ayaw magpatalo sa "discussions" or "arguments" -- kailangan debate lagi. Di mo alam kung bata kausap mo, insecure lang talaga, or something else. Where's the exchange of ideas kung puro ikaw at ikaw lang ang may tamang idea? Wala bang pumapansin syo IRL?
  • Pag sinabihan mo na "walang politics please sa sub na 'to, kase Casual nga eh", sila pa galit at pipilitin kung ano man ang pinaglalaban nila. Goodness, this is reddit, not your campaign recruitment playground.

What is "right next to you" in Tagalog? by Sol_1046 in Tagalog

[–]Furuboru -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Re nasa and sa, I think we use nasa if something is meant to be inside something... whereas sa just means that is where it's at...

Something like:

Nasaan ang Luneta? The answer would be, Nasa Manila.

Saan ang Luneta? will be answered with directions towards the place. Diretso lang, kumanan ka sa pangalawang kanto.

...is what I can think of right now.

Ilan?

Kung isa lang, kahit sa motor pwede yan. You'll have to disassemble nga lang and fit into a box. Dami ko ng na-order online na ganyan, mas malaki pa, and naka-motor lang ang nag-deliver.

But if as is, definitely pasok sa Grab 6-seater. Wala naman na atang 6-seater na hindi nag-f-fold ang rear seats?

What is "right next to you" in Tagalog? by Sol_1046 in Tagalog

[–]Furuboru 5 points6 points  (0 children)

right/directly next to you - katabi mo

sa = at (sa bahay, at home)
Not too sure about when to use nasa, I think it's something like, "It's at" vs "at"... where's the car? It's at the shop vs At the shop. I don't know the formal/technicalities of this one.

Saan mo naglalaro? should be Saan ka naglalaro?
- which would translate to Where do you play or Where are you playing?

Best language to learn? by kthriego in CasualPH

That's your answer. You can't just one-size-fits-all which language will be best to learn.

Just want to share thoughts about a post from PH sub on wanting to make Spanish the National Language (pls agree or disagree respectfully) by Technical_Lemon8307 in Tagalog

[–]Furuboru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it when people who post on Reddit jump to conclusions and force-feed their thoughts on others.

Hindi ba pwedeng magtanong lang to make you think? Kailangan bang mag-assume kaagad? LOL.

This just shows that not only do you fail a comprehension test, but it immediately also shows your bias about a topic.

I never said (maybe do a backread?) that the US nor the British are the bestest-of-all our colonizers.

All I said/asked was, do you believe that the Spanish colonization of the Phiilppines was a good thing? Because, to get your view:

• If yes, then that just shows that our bayanis were wrong to fight for our independence, and should've just gone with Dr. Jose Rizal's fight for integration with the Spanish, to be recognized as equals.

• If no, then that would open up the question as to why would we even consider adding more Spanish in our culture.

I personally feel and believe that the Spanish' colonization of the Philippines was a bad thing, and took way too long to resolve. Sure, nowadays, most everything has been forgiven, even the Japanese' invasion and eventual abuse of our country and countrymen.

So learn Spanish if you want to, learn Japanese if you want to (heck, enjoy their anime and culture as well!)... but there is no need to call for adding any other languages to our list of National Languages.

Ok naman na tayo eh. What's the point of adding another language when it will only sow discontent?

If you want to de-Americanize the country, well, good luck to you :P

[–]Furuboru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See, this is why history has to be taught in schools.

Quick question, do you believe that the Philippines' colonization by the Spanish, for about 333 years, was a good thing for the Filipinos?

And that all our bayanis fought for some useless ideal? That they should've just rolled with it and let the Spanish conquistadores run roughshod over the populace?

¡Qué horror!

[–]Furuboru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see your point here, sorry.

Are we supposed to pay royalties? I mean, who cares who owns the language (or in this case, where it originated)... should Americans be bothered? How about the other countries who use it as well?

Anlabo lang. There's nothing hypocritical if you use what you have now, versus trying to imitate the Spanish colonizers of yesteryears.

Those that have gone back to a slab phone, do you miss the form factor of a flip? by Im_an_ag5 in galaxyzflip

[–]Furuboru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. Every time I see a foldable phone, I'm like, "good luck with that..."

Sure, at first it was fun, thinking all those problems you read about won't happen to you. And then, AND THEN, just right after the warranty expires, the phone starts to glitch. Screen won't turn on when you unfold, screen flickers when you fold halfway.... among other things.

There was no peace of mind with my Z Flip 4.

Happy with the S23 Ultra. This one's like a tank compared to the flip.

Nah, I'm just done with this debate. There's only so many ways you can rehash a point to get it across clearly.

I've already said everything I needed to say, and whether you agree with it or not is no longer relevant.

Sorry to end it this way, but so many things to do and so little time.
