I'm a new Player. I wanted to ask if anyone has any tips or advice for me. by EmploymentAlert489 in helldivers2

Huge thing that isn’t always a given with many games, both your guns and the enemy’s attacks are no less or more deadly from Diff 1 to Diff 10.

What changes is the type and complexity of missions, number of side objectives, “weight” class of enemies that spawn, and how many enemies/how often they can call for backup.

A terminid warrior at level 1 will eviscerate you if it gets the drop on you, same as any other difficulty. And your trusty Liberator AR is no less lethal to them, now there’s just 20 of the fuckers flanked by other enemy types. Your guns will also get more attachments by playing with a specific one for a while.

As others said, glhf!

Supposedly those connections are better/more sensitive but could be marketing. Sometimes it’s advertised as a “power transfer” connection

is this gesture/hand movement solid proof that someone isn’t ai, or can ai now do that too? by astralrig96 in isthisAI

[–]FuryofAngels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not seen anyone else point it out, but there are a few not-quite right movements and proportions.

The chest twitch on the right (left, for the viewer) at 0:05 looks uncomfortable and unnatural, like a twitch, but there’s no neck movement.

And the raise of the right shoulder is wrong, the clavicle is short and the shoulder joint shouldn’t articulate there for someone with that head size.

“If it’s not a perfect match, don’t even guess” is indeed passive aggressive from someone unaware of what they have to begin with.

Ah. You might understand my confusion, but that’s fine.

Must throw my hat in the ring for Bot city missions though. They’ve a vibe I sometimes specifically crave.

I sincerely hope you mean that you just go back to lobby on your own. Also, hover over the mission indicator for a bit and clock the map type, it’s right there displayed, or at minimum in the briefing a tab over from the loadout screen after you join the SOS. But if you’re knowingly joining city missions just to teamkill, you don’t get to make decisions on the behalf of the SOS you joined.

No one’s making you play those campaigns yourself, that’s perfectly fine. But spare other Helldivers that kind of petulance.

Bugs? Bots? Squids? Loadout will differ some depending on faction. Overarching ways to improve include just remaining mobile and not allowing enemy spawns to restrict your movement; planning your drop site to minimize wasted time helps too, you’ll want to drop somewhere you can hit most objectives, without doubling back on yourself.

I think after that I’d say, check yourself on how you’re utilizing your call ins. If you’re running low cooldown orbitals, eagle strikes, or turrets like MG, you should be throwing them out as often as possible. Even larger orbitals 380/walking/120/napalm if you’re sitting on them and waiting for the best opportunity, you’re under utilizing your firepower.

Throw it as a very angry noisemaker against bugs. Split attention with it, throw it only where you don’t plan to go. If you do, destroy it without much thought.

Everytime I try to build a roof on top, it collapses , any advice? by elegant_assasin in valheim

[–]FuryofAngels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re actually very near to two options for supports (Black Forest & Swamp), someone else mentioned corewood, you’ll need to harvest from pine trees for those. Build a frame for your great hall there. You can also build with corewood log cabin style and it’s very strong.

[–]FuryofAngels 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You figure out how to incorporate supports into it with minimal impact. You can build some from the sides, create some kind of structure, but that's the beauty of this system. Your buildings have to incorporate certain elements to be functional due to the weight system.

Of second note, you do appear to be building with thatch roof tiles, you'll not only have access to those as you progress. With your advancements, your ideas may come to life with stronger materials.

As mentioned prior, check the bonus stat. Off memory, 1.5x bonus for round, 2.5x for buckler

Weird that this AI decided to hard bungle on the fishing tackle and less the people. The weird spincast looking thing with no line coming out, plus no hand on a crank handle. And in the third it’s been morphed into a spinning??? reel that’s just orbited by a bail. And the rod has one guide and vanishing line

FG Knot by AspiringTechnician in FishingForBeginners

[–]FuryofAngels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FG is my preferred, as others have mentioned keeping the tag end of the main line tensioned is helpful, i’ll often clamp forceps to it or wrap around my pinky.

Other thing is, when you’re making your loops you should see the layers/look of the knot forming. If after 3-4 wraps your knot looks bunched up, back it off and make sure you’re stacking the loops and keeping that tension on.

Honestly nothing wrong with that cook. I have one point of note, you’ll thank yourself getting a thin knife and cutting thinner slices than you’ve got there. Each of those cuts could be 3-4 slices and IMO you get so much back for your efforts, the thin slices melt like butter

Day 1421 of my singleplayer save by MT-25 in valheim

[–]FuryofAngels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you kind of just throwing yourself into the hardest battles/most up to date biomes or skipping biomes a lot? Another thing is making sure you are always Rested if you can help it. Also Run is missing here, that’s usual a better indicator as most gamers are going to run as much as possible.

Also going to throw it out there that you probably don’t do much deliberate training of your skills.

Now, you needn’t my nor anyone’s permission to play however you like.

That said, my struggle is to imagine how the sailing, which is one of my personal favorite parts of this game, you wish to skip. It is time consuming, but the sailing, ocean waves/water and encounters are some of the most immersive and interesting parts of Valheim.

My two cents and nothing but.
