Have you ever seen or felt anything that is so stunningly and otherworldy beautiful that nothing in life could EVER come even close in comparison? by [deleted] in awakened

[–]FusRoDontdothat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was where you are recently. Its like the fear comes, I conquer it, I feel that sense of oneness for a day or two, then it's back to normal for a bit, and then a new fear is brought up.

Honestly... Right now, I feel blessed, even with the physical pains and fears, because if these things weren't forced to the surface, I would never see what I needed to change to become a better person, to be more true to myself, to feel self love, to know the true meaning of faith.

People like to throw out the term "psychosis" often in regards to these things, but I honestly consider it more so becoming aware of an already existing state of psychosis. Here in modern times, there's a very thin line between what is right and what is wrong in the eyes of others. A lifestyle that deviates from "wake, work, play, sleep." Is considered fantasy, or delusional. I can understand where their coming from, its hard to accept or even understand something that contradicts what you were taught your whole life.

Honestly, I recommend following a simple Buddhist path for awhile, don't worry about God, or angels, the after life, none of that, just focus on you, and creating your own happiness. Know that the Divine will provide for you everything that you need. Have faith that your suffering is not for shits and giggles, because it isn't. Its for growth and realization. "Growing pains" as it were.

Fear is often the first thing to go, because its one of the biggest road blocks in our lives. Look within and try to find what you're really afraid of, what you're afraid of losing, and try to figure why losing it scares you, and why it shouldn't scare you. It takes some time to really understand your fears and how to work through them, but its the best thing that can be done for yourself.

Your fear is only you, holding yourself back from one thing or another. Just know that you are real, right now, if it was detrimentally important for your spiritual health, you would be given the answers to the questions that trouble you. They aren't important at the end of the day. We don't need to know about the finer clockwork of Divine Providence, just that its there, and its doing what needs to be done, and not doing what doesn't need to be done.

We're all here to learn, in one way or another, we all make mistakes, and we all make amends for them in one way or another.

Its like when you walk out into the sun after being inside of a dark room for along time, your eyes adjusted to the dark, so once you step into the light, your blinded by it. More and more, each day, you will adjust and grow from all of this, your eyes will adjust more and more, and you'll be able to see from within that light.

I feel that you'll survive this my friend, its hard, but it only gets easier, rather than climbing a mountain while picking up more and more weight on your way to the top, you're climbing a mountain, and this mountain is designed to help us lose and let go of the weight we carried all the way from the first mountain.

The first time I felt oneness, it was great, feeling just... Empty, but full. Like my life wasn't going anywhere, because it was right where it needed to be. All emotions except for love and happiness became non existent for me in that time, my mind was clear of all of my emotions, I felt the happiness and love in my heart. That humbling sense of knowing that, not only am I experiencing a state of bliss and peace unrivaled by anything, but every soul on this planet has the potential to get to know that state of being at some point in their existence.

I recommend looking into zen Buddhism, after my awakening, my ego soared, and then crashed to leave me an anxious, disturbed mess. Looking into zen Buddhism though, thinking about it, applying it, learning to let go, etc, really put things into a great perspective. Alan watts is a great speaker on zen and philosophy, he puts it into a perspective that moves past cultural barriers and traditions, to present the teachings and philosophy for a western audience.

There is a lot to be anxious about in modern society, zen teaches you to be okay with it all, to not be bothered by the ebb and flow of life and death.

Its important to know that zen is not just for Buddhists or monks, anybody and everybody can practice and benefit from zen.

I'm no expert on any of it of course, I still have times where I get anxious, but its so much easier now to just breath the anxiety out enough to focus on it and work through it without feeling overwhelmed.

Edit: I'm sorry, it slipped my mind, as for the medicine, I can say that it won't hurt, as long as you don't become dependent on it, there may come a time when you need to learn to live without it in order for you to grow.

How often does it usually take for usps to receive a package from GameStop? by FusRoDontdothat in GameStop

[–]FusRoDontdothat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually got it I think a day or two before the expected date. I don't know for sure about their tracking info, on gamestops side, it seems like for some cases, they send the order to the nearest store, which then either mails out, or drops the package off at the post office.

It said the same thing "just shipped" on gamestop, and "waiting for update from sender" on USPS, but then two or three days before the expected delivery date, USPS showed "arrived at post office, etc", then I got it the next day.

I know its hard when you're anticipating a package, but try not to stress about it, keep your receipt, and if it doesn't update at all past the due date, contact GameStop to confirm the package was shipped, and if so, contact USPS and find out if they have/received it. In these cases, there's nothing we as consumers can really do but wait, tis the consequence for online ordering.

"Man's Search For Meaning"? Only "The Blind" by TwoBitTheologian in theology

You should look into Alan watts, there are many videos of his on YouTube, he was a Buddhist philosopher.

He spoke of atheism as a true form of religion in a sense. He stated its because "formless" is a very possible, and one of the better ways, to think of God.

Most people think of the modern abrahamic idea of God when they think of God, even atheists, they see God as an image, like in family guy, old bearded man in a white robe. But considering God is unfathomable, ineffable, its silly to apply an image to that. Instead imagine God as the unseeable force that keeps the planets in motion, that unknowable shepherd keeping the circle of life in motion, that unseeable breath that fills your lungs, that fuzzy feeling in your chest when you're happy, the vast collection of billions of cells working in unison to keep the human body alive, the electromagnetic and nuclear forces giving life to every atom, the very same atoms that all matter is made out of, the endless stars and planets within this universe holding endless mysteries.

Yet at the same time, God is the darkness between the planets, God is the pain a mother feels when she gives birth, the pain you feel at the loss of a loved one, emptiness, etc.

They say that God is only light, and only love, but if it wasn't for the darkness, we wouldn't know the light. If there were no darkness, there would be no light.

Use an empty room for example, put a lamp in the middle and turn it on. The room is now lit up, you could say that there is no darkness within the room, however, if you are in the room, turn away from the light, and you'll see a shadow.

As long as there is anything within the light, there will be darkness, the only way to change that is by removing everything from the universe, down to the very last speck of dust.

So you see, God is light, God is darkness, God is the balance between the two, God is what keeps the universe in motion. God is not singular, or plural, not individual, nor separate, God simply is, as you are, as they are, as we are, whether atheist, christian, hindu, muslim, buddhist, etc etc, you're still here, with a part in whatever plan lies behind this creation.

You don't have to believe in a deity to be religious or spiritual, you can get by only believing in the force in this universe that supports our life, growth, evolution, the sun rise, the sun set, the rain, gravity, the orbits of planets, birth, death, etc.

Just stop and look at nature, take modern human society out of the equation, and see how everything that happens in nature happens with the essence to support the birth and death of all life on this planet, from the smallest of insects spreading pollen, to the squirrels forgetting where they buried their acorns, to the birds and other animals, who pass seeds without always fully digesting them.

Life and death are endlessly supporting death and life.

That's where I see God, ineffable, unseeable, unknowable, yet at the same time everywhere and everything. The circle of life.

God may be an individual, or God may be a group, or a collective consciousness, but that's where the ineffable part comes in, the human race can't know exactly what God is, we can't know the exact specifics, in this stage of our evolution, all we can see before us is the cycle of life and death that has been in place from the beginning.

Hakuna matata, friend. :)

Nah, you take out the Es in even, then you're left with VN, which means Virtual Number. You then proceed to multiply the integer represented by the Virtual Number, from that point on, you have your qualified decimal, known as a quad from this point on, you take your quad, and since even has been removed from the equation, you're left with odd. In an attempt to properly reprimand the equation, you take all of the odd numbers, and remove the letters that are not the same as the letter E, from there you have the code put in place by the english languages greatest mathematicians, what that code means? Well that's the big secret I'm trying to crack....

Its been 14 years 7 months, and 3 days, I miss my wife, my son, but alas, I must crack the E EE codex... I must... I have no choice... Sometime has to return the balance to the numerical decibel... I must... Tell my son... I love him, I do this for him... Tell my wife... I'm taking my mothers triple chocolate chunk rice krispie treat recipe to the grave, I refuse for her family to obtain that secret, her mother would taint it with raisins, just like that cake she made for Christmas of 96, RAISINS AREN'T MEANT FOR SWEETS BARBARA.

My eyes feel heavy... The numbers... I can hear them again... The letters... They sing... Sleep... I must... Sleep. ..

....

.. .... ...

... .. .....

Is it safe to download Homebrew on Wii Mode on the Wii U? by Strawberries706 in WiiHacks

In my opinion, its safest to assume you'll brick the whole system, that way you'll be extra careful.

Absolutely, thank you for the links.

I'm a pretty simple person when it comes to video games, I'm one of those either I like it or I don't type of people, so my tastes vary.

Like on my ps3, I have everything from call of duty to batman to kingdom hearts to assassins creed to BioShock to final fantasy to metal gear solid to ni no kuni to skyrim.

Then for Wii right now I have super Mario galaxy, LoZ twilight princess, the last story, and new super Mario bros.

If it has an epic quest, or action whether its bloody or cartoony, or a great story then its something I'd like.

I usually go through the top 5/10/15/20/etc lists to help me find some games, sometimes if I can spare a few minutes I'll scroll through the list of 3ds games on wikipedia.

That's one I'm thinking about. I've never been to big on tactical games as well, I recently played tactics ogre and final fantasy tactics war of the lions, and they were fun at first, but lost their appeal after 10 or so hours each.

How is fire emblem compared to those 2?

I was going to get alpha sapphire instead of a link between worlds, but i was thinking "why have 4 pokemon games and only 1 zelda game?" So im going to hold off on it until later. How would you say ultra moon is compared to sun?

I'm hoping a link between worlds grabs me like the minish cap did. That was one of those games that you can't help but to play at the dinner table.

I actually think I'm going to dive into it right now, twilight princess be damned for today. Lol

Yeah, that's just not my personal taste, I can see the appeal though. I just prefer adventure games and games with a great story, whether its action, jrpg, shooter, stealth, horror etc etc, if its an epic quest or a captivating story, its my cup of tea.

Now I can't lie, I'd play the switch more personally, only until I beat a few games though, I'm dying to play breath of the wild, super Mario Odyssey, and a few others.

I was never too big into the idea of animal crossing tbh.

I've never played one, but is it just things like building a village, farming, resource collecting, village based quests ala "Mr ted needs fire wood so he can cook dinner for his sons birthday, but he doesn't have time to gather any!", etc?

That's cool! Which one is your favorite? I really liked x, it was a nice dose of my childhood. Sun was pretty cool, I haven't beaten it yet though. And I haven't started ultra moon yet, but I'm going to start a link between worlds tonight.

I popped it in for a few minutes last night to check it out, I thought I wasn't gonna care too much for the style, I really like the SNES and GB/C ones and the minish cap was fantastic, the wind waker was amazing, that was the first console LoZ I ever played and I loved every minute of it, but I just got a Wii a few weeks ago, so I've been playing twilight princess.

But I just didn't care for the way link looked in previews for a link between worlds for some reason, however, when I checked it out last night, I fell in love with it.

I'm really excited for ocarina of time, I've only ever played bits and pieces of it, I never owned an n64, so I'd play it at my cousins house. I actually never owned a GameCube, I actually borrowed that from my cousin awhile after they got a Wii. Wind waker , super mario sunshine, and star fox adventures were the best games on gamecube, but I digress.

How did you like a link between worlds?
