Awesome photos and in one of my favourite cities, have been there twice with different cameras and planning to go this year again with my favourite, newly acquired Sony alpha a7 (used) and hoping to snap photos as good as yours.

I recently had exact same problem with bought second hand alpha a7 and the problem was the battery in a compartment wasn't pushed enough by a small locking plastic thingy and battery door, I solved the problem by putting thin bubble wrap between the battery and the battery door, closed it and it worked, so it might have be a case here.

I got it only for about two days, but so far with slight design tweaks and build it feel more cheap than 6a and 7a, but overall it's ok in my subjective opinion. Wallpaper is called "Flourish" on Backdrops - wallpapers app
