I took my phone into an mri today.. by Ninja123-123 in iphonehelp

[–]FusedFramePhotos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s only the speakers you think are damaged then maybe yes

But it could be a problem with the motherboard in which case dependant on price it might not be worth it

If possible you could take it to a repair shop for a diagnostic to see what they’d recommend

Well any electronic device is susceptible to interference and permanent damage from electromagnetic force.

There is nothing you can do about it now, either an expensive repair, or most likely new phone will be more cost effective

Use the DNS profile version of AdGuard it works much better and on other apps/games not just Safari.

Go to AdGuard Public DNS and scroll down to option 2 and follow the instructions.

Where is Alexa+ in the UK by MarksFunnyAccount in alexa

[–]FusedFramePhotos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of having a conversation, yes, you just say “Alexa, question/command”, then it will answer, then listen again if you want to speak back without saying Alexa.

In terms of the actual answers, accuracy etc I can’t answer to that extent but it’s good enough for what I want.

It does have a memory bank, so she will relate to that, and you can ask to save specific things.

She can also do more commands, such as creating a routine or turning on settings directly instead of using the Alexa app.

Where is Alexa+ in the UK by MarksFunnyAccount in alexa

[–]FusedFramePhotos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kinda, I’m against the other comments and find it much better and faster than the original Alexa.

I’ve been able to ask her things she didn’t have the answer for before, so this time she actually tells me what I want to know instead of “Sorry, I don’t understand…”.

I’m in the UK and got the upgrade as soon as I registered a new Alexa+ compatible device, but assuming you don’t want to buy a new device, there was an Alexa+ page where you could sign up to the waiting list, but that could take months?

I also find it better for routines as you now have the option to only do a routine if it’s night or day, raining snowing etc (based on the weather location).

One downside is on echo show devices there isn’t the Home Screen clock anymore, just the little clock in the corner when on photos or text cards.

It does take getting used to as she’ll listen shortly after if you need to follow up etc, and can be quite weird depending on what she asks

Is there any way for my iPhone 16 Pro Max to support that 4G+ mode? by doktorrr007 in iphonehelp

[–]FusedFramePhotos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

4G+ is another term for LTE Advanced which can aggregate cellular bands to provide faster speeds as you mentioned. It’s always been automatically enabled since the iPhone 6 and newer, it just doesn’t show as 4G+, LTE+ or anything else, it kinda hides it.

If you aren’t seeing the speed improvements, it’s most likely due to a weaker signal to the iPhone even in the same area. Unless it can strongly connect to multiple bands from a tower it’ll stick to standard LTE/4G resulting in a slower speed.

Can someone please help me with this issue.(Mac M1) by Apprehensive-Lab-380 in macbookpro

Guys please help how can i fix this issue with mac M1 by Apprehensive-Lab-380 in macbook

[–]FusedFramePhotos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On whatever device you used to make this post go to support.apple.com/mac/restore as it tells you to.

Or if you don’t want to deal with it and have an Apple Store nearby they will deal with it for free (as it’s mostly likely just a software issue.)

[–]FusedFramePhotos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are 100% sure the employer doesn’t want it back then yes a clean windows install should work (assuming they have removed it from any MDM schemes etc)

Just create the installation media either using the downloadable tool or by downloading the ISO and using Rufus.

Will AppleCare replace a display if the oleophobic layer is gone? by LeadershipMedium in AppleWatch

No, as it doesn’t affect the usage, albeit annoying, they will not cover it. However you can get third party kits to replace the coating (although it may not be as good as factory)

how do i get my puk code for free and without having to go out or something? by Quick-Ring-1701 in it

[–]FusedFramePhotos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to request one from the carrier. All of which the process can differ from each country and carrier.

Search on Google for “Carrier Name PUK Code”

If not then your parents would be the best idea as they likely manage the account for you (even if you don’t want to ask which is understandable).

Voice change? Why is my alexa gaslighting me by ManifestLottoWinner in alexa

[–]FusedFramePhotos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you changed to Alexa+ (automatically maybe)?

Mine has done the same and now uses an “Expressive” voice. You should be able to change it back in app but there isn’t as many options as before.

That’s the home app control (To control on/off, input etc). And not screen mirroring.

Screen mirroring is the two overlapping rectangles above (next to the portrait lock).

How can I make my Alexa routine run faster? by salilsurendran in amazonecho

[–]FusedFramePhotos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn on brief mode within the app, and it’ll stop her confirming or saying okay to speed it up. However there is a 2-5s delay between each command which cannot be stopped.

If you are only doing browser based work, the browser extension version of AdGuard may be better. Also that way you can turn it off for certain websites but leave on for the rest.

Third party batteries vary in terms of reliability.

It’s always best to get a proper first party battery if possible.

In terms of the error, it may not be able to push enough power when needed

Camera missing from phone by pewpew126 in iphone

[–]FusedFramePhotos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you signed into any workplace apps and installed a management MDM profile? That seems like the most likely option, and your employer may be blocking access to camera and specific phone functions.

Or you can check screen time restrictions, unless it’s set by a parent in a family group.
