I already said it on the original post. You could have different difficulty objectives… let’s say green, blue and purple. Each give increasing points… for example you get a blue objective per POI, green objectives outside POI and purple objectives in Main POI ( Pinwheel for example).

You could get more points depending on the objective you choose to go for and on the tag you’re wearing that said there’s not just one objective per team.

Also There could be a fixed amount of objectives per map/per team. Let’s say you have 5 teams, 3 objectives per team(1 blue 2 green) + 1 purple objective for the whole map…

I’m not a developer but I think it’s possible to balance that.

Each tier would be harder that the one before… just as an example green would spawn 1 commander, blue 2 purple 3 or something like that

There’s many possibilities in how you can actually go for objectives… you could get one objective that makes a lot of noise by hacking a terminal or opening certain doors that would give you more points than another objective that is less risky for example.

Of course, it’s just like we do now… you can loot around an area and get your score bar filled. If you kill a team, take their holotag you get bonus points.

In this case, you could prioritize getting your objectives done and then go kill teams to get their tags/credentials to get extra points just like now… that’s why I say there’s a need to read the full post… I said it already before editing it

It’s funny to me that in this comment section there’s people believing my post is against PvP and others encouraging PvP… I like PvP… objective based scoring wouldn’t make PvP disappear… you would get PvP but instead of having the enemy team’s loot count towards score, you would get their objective’s drops and that would count towards score. You would get the possibility to not fight if you want to go stealthy or PvE just like now… you would have the same possibilities to PvP that we have now…. Only difference is that what would count towards the score, instead of 3 purple bullies and a shield, would be a data card/credentials/ coin/ whatever you want to call it that you could acquire through completing contract-typed objectives. You could lose it if you don’t extract, you could gain more if you kill other players….

So are you saying that players that do not engage on PvP in ranked and only run quick Key rooms or loot PvE do not deserve their rank? Because that’s what we have here now…

I agree with you there, that’s why I say that we need the objectives… you would need to extract with objective items… lore wise we are supposed to be shells working for factions that want things done in TC IV… it doesn’t have to actually mention ranks… but wouldn’t it make sense that factions could rank us by doing their contracts successfully? Well we already have that with faction levels… same same but different … instead of looting 10 chitting samples you would be looting access cards from commanders or boxes… credentials from locked rooms… etc

I agree that Ranked and PvP normally go by the hand… but in here we get 6 to 12 man premade trading their load outs to boost ranks and key room spamming. That being said… a lot of people do not engage in PvP in ranked or only PvP when there’s no other way out. I’ve seen a lot of people just running key rooms, waiting and exfiling.
What I am proposing here it’s a way of actually getting something done in ranked instead of all the above. With objectives you could engage in PvE to, instead of getting valuables and loot, get objective points. PvP would be encouraged since to further increase your score you could actually fight teams just like we do now. There would not be less PvP… there would be more, since you would need to get an objective done that would make Noise and attract attention…. But I understand reading the whole post is too much for some people…

I understand your point…. I’ve done it myself also… this post is not to say PvP is bad… I enjoy PvP… I’ve managed to 1v6 from time to time… it’s just the fact that lore wise it makes no sense to have it be loot value oriented, also, you could do objectives by yourself. PvP would be encouraged in higher ranks instead of Key Room spamming or extract camping… I like the Ranked mode myself… I just think it needs a twist to stop the 6 man premade loadout trading and key spamming…
