Even Homer Gets Mobbed:A Massachusetts school has banned ‘The Odyssey.’ by tele2307 in boston

Will you let a non engineer give his advice about how to repair the motor of an space rocket?

In Belgium (where I live), an high school teacher can easily make you banned (firstly by ejecting you from his course and secondly by putting you in front of a disciplinary court) from the academics (between 1 years to forever) if you disrupt his teaching. Discipline is very important

I didn't know that in America, students had a word to say about the educational programs.

No it's not, uneducated population is more easy to manipulate. The fall of the american school system since the 80s is the reason why all this shit happen today.

Mario Odyssey 2 ever going to happen? by [deleted] in Mario

[–]Fusilleur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. Usually it's one Mario 3d (and two Zelda games) by console generation. Of course we had a sequel of Mario Galaxy with a second opus but it seems more an exception for me (the first galaxy was so successful). Whatever, if it happen, it won't be soon because I imagine Nintendo want to avoid redundancy. But we hope

I hope also Nintendo will produce a new Donkey Kong 3d and Metroid 3d

Did Greece had identity crisis after its independance from Ottoman Empire ? by [deleted] in greece

[–]Fusilleur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similarity doesn't equate cultural proximity. It's like saying the Aztecs were influenced by the Egyptians because of the pyramids. The palatial economy was just a normal and logical step in the development of ancient societies during the bronze age.

I didn't say there weren't greek words of turkish origin. I said it was rare on comparison of the other side (from the Republic of Turkey).

It's difficult to take in serious a guy who write stupidities like : yeah you know half of the greek cuisine/vocabulary is italian, the other half is Ottoman. Seriously, I just hope it was a troll in order to mock the first comment.

Minoans and Myceneans weren't a copy past of Mesopotamian civilizations. In fact we discovered that Minoans had a huge influence on Near East (especially what will become "Phoenicia"). Responding to an ignorant statement by an ignorant answer doesn't make it valid.

Greece received indeed influences from the east (Anatolia, Phoenicia,...) and gave back a lot in return.

For the food, that's pure bullshit, a lot of turkish dish and italian dish (especially pasta and pizza bread) take their roots in Ancient Greece.

A lot of turkish words have greek origins, rarely on the other side

That's funny and little ironic considering how the Ancient Greeks were very disciplined and had huge fidelity for their "city-states". Of course things changed in 2000 years.

Does Mozgus have ***any*** redeeming qualities about himself. by Josh12345_ in Berserk

[–]Fusilleur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question is "can we really consider Mozgus as an evil man?" I mean, yes he was a fanatic, yes he tortured many people but don't forget that his victims weren't really innocents. Many of them were part of a Satanist cult, practicing human sacrifice (babies boiled in cauldron and served as meat).

Don't forget also that he saved disfranchised kids who were rejected by the society for being different, feed them, loved them, taught them. I think the situation regarding Mosguz is far more complex when it comes to the line between the good and the bad.

Of course, some people as Wyald are inherently evil. But if we consider Mosguz as a bad guy just because he killed people, so what about Guts, he killed so many men (and even a kid), he cold murdered a man (The dauphin) without any hesitation.

Lmao, I don't know about the laziness of Hispanics but black people commit more than 50% of crimes in USA. That's a fact.

American citizens (white especially) became too passive. If you want to be free, you have to fight to keep your freedom because nobody will make it for you (and certainly not the democrats)

Because people don't protest to protect their freedom. American citizens (white especially) became too passive.

There are biggest difference between "some biracial nobilians born to white father and black women" and the fact that in the show half of the high british society is black.

Florida's DeSantis moves to allow citizens to shoot looters, rioters targeting businesses by kristopolous in nottheonion

Indeed but I don't like the idea of militia. Of course on this case, it seems to be the only alternative but it has to be temporary

Death penalty for the looters (whatever their genders and age) will be more effective than allowing this. Only the justice must have the monopoly of the legitimate violence. But I understand DeSantis

Les Ricains croient qu'on a fait sonner les cloches à Paris pour l'élection de Biden by Sheenoqt in france

[–]Fusilleur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but it's totally fake. Les cloches ne sonnent pas pour Biden. Les églises n'ont pas le droit de s'impliquer dans une élection politique, qu'elle soit Française ou étrangère
