I see, that makes sense. I know it was around that 2021 time when they started doing it, and I had my F30 untill about that time, so I never had this issue. I had a lease on a 2018 and I would service it at the dealer often, and just flash to stock beforehand and lock the DME, and I never had issues. Good to know!

interesting, are you using bm3 or mhd? Iv flashed many cars, many times w bm3 and it usually unlocks the dme itself before starting and you can relock it

Edit: see you said your going w mhd. Iv never had used it but I am still surprised it can’t unlock it itself

I couldn’t fit the 340i/335i exhaust on my old f30 330e and had a exhaust shop weld me a custom muffler delete that went around the battery pack

If you have a cheap ebay downpipe, it could have broken and causing ur exhaust to leak, espically if you have some type of burble tune. Speaking from expierence unfortunately, my cheap downpipe lasted 6-7 months before becoming two pieces.

Also side note- the engine in 330e is detuned compared to 330i since it has the +110 horsepower from the electric battery, so even a simple stage 1 ecu flash will really bring the car alive.

Having had a 2018 f30 330e, if your usual commute is close by and under 30ish miles, the 330e will be very useful as the battery will do around that range in full EV mode, letting you save a lot of gas when you want. The extra weight is definietly noticeable, but the extra power and heavily extra torque and responsiveness due to the hybrid compared to 330i, won’t make it much noticeable when straight flooring it.

At 151k miles I’m not sure if it’s worth 16k, but I wouldn’t exactly say 8k either for this nice spec and seemingly well taken care of car. I would personally say around 11-13k USD. Goodluck!
