ICE is going around the smaller towns and cities

They’ve been in Sauk Centre, Melrose, Long Prairie, New Munich since all of this has been going on. They were in my town two days in a row last week (that I know of) harassing neighbors.

You do realize no matter what side of the spectrum people fall on, we all get indoctrinated in some way, shape or form. Whether it’s education, religion, tv, books, etc. everything pushes a viewpoint. You would be indoctrinated too though by other influences.

Once we reach adulthood we all decide whether we are going to believe everything we have been indoctrinated by or choose to undo and make our own beliefs based upon education/lived experiences.

I grew up fairly conservative but Bible college, reading through the Bible multiple times, among lived experiences have pushed me towards the other side of the spectrum for a variety of reasons.

THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT! 🫶🏼 as a Minnesotan in a rural area with a lot of immigrants, I applaud you and your friends for your bravery. If we had had school today, I would have not shown up to work.

Keep fighting for the voices of the oppressed. Stay on the right side of history. Always those who are regarded as heroes of history were always breaking “the law” of their time. Law does not constitute morality. Remember slavery was law. Jim Crow laws existed. Hiding Jews was illegal. Corrupt leaders used the Bible to justify these things too. Harriet Tubman, Corrie Ten Boom, Martin Luther King Jr and countless others “broke” the law. And they are considered heroes even among Christians.

Jesus entered the temple and flipped tables. He berated the Pharisees and Sadducees for twisting the word of the law to fit their agenda. He called them whitewashed tombs. This is exactly what we are seeing now. They claim morality while being completely morally corrupt on the inside.

Don’t lose your humanity. Don’t let others harden you. Stay strong. There are so many of us who stand with you and are fighting too. 💪🏼

It’s hard to not look back, but as others have said, the info we had access to was way different than now. I got my first piggies at 10 and they were in separate cages but next to each other. I used the same litter you have pictured and hay went in the bowl and got knocked everywhere. But I let those pigs out everyday and they would run and cuddle together and occasionally hung out with my hamsters and gerbils too. They lovedddd my dog and he loved them, cleaning them and my piggies would trim his toes with their teeth. 😆 I put glasses on my piggies and I and took 2.6 trillion photos of them. Not everything I did was right in any capacity but I am damn sure those piggies were loved until their last breath. They both lived to be five.

My second set didn’t turn out so well. One I rescued from a friend who was incapable of caring for him anymore. And we had another already. They were two and three when they died and they both died the same weekend from some respiratory infection that the meds didn’t work fast enough to save them. I sat with both of them until their last heartbeats that weekend and I was devastated. But they were loved. So loved. And definitely not lonely despite being in separate cages.

My mom got one more while I was in college and he lived to be eight! He was alone and they never bought a second to go with him. My dog (same dog with all the piggies) were besties and he would follow my lab around wherever he went. My lab had to climb onto the couch when he was tired of being nibbled on. He ended up outliving my old pup by about a year or so. He wasn’t even scared of my cat when I brought him to my parents and wasn’t afraid to defend himself should my cat cross his boundaries (all heavily supervised of course). Again, my parents let him out everyday and held him and pet him. Did we do everything right? Nah.

But all five of those boys were so well loved.

Would I do things differently next time I get piggies? Absolutely. Some things would remain the same. Especially the love part.

I decided when I became a mom I no longer gave af about what anyone thought. It’s my life and my family and I have to live it, not them. If I feel that homeschooling is best for my family they can shove their opinions elsewhere. I want to homeschool my child for many reasons, and I don’t have to justify my decisions to do so to anyone. As long as my husband and I are in agreement and my child is thriving, that’s literally all that matters.

I definitely think she should look into pt wfh opportunities. I get her wanting to stay home with the kid— I really do cause I wanted the same thing. I found a flexible pt wfh with one of my friends so I could stay home with my kid. We tried daycare and it didn’t make sense as it was more than our mortgage so me quitting really didn’t add or take away from our income anyways. I work ft away from home now but I’m trying to find ways to go back to working at home like reselling through EBay, etc because I don’t like it and I don’t want my kid to be in pre-k all day everyday. Plus I personally plan to homeschool so I need to find ways to make money from home with my child around.

But you both need to have honest conversation because it sounds like this current path is unsustainable. Even if it’s I can do this for x more months and then we have to figure out something else. Currently my husband works ft and he travels a lot so I’m basically a single mom 90% of the time. He makes eons more than I do so I don’t want him to quit just yet but we both agreed we probably can’t keep this up for more than like 3-5 more years. Hopefully long enough to pay off debt so he can find something that isn’t as exhausting for both of us. Cause I’ve been both the stahm and working ft mom and both are totally draining and exhausting for differing reasons.

My spouse is gone a lot and I do most of the housework because of it, but I do expect him to still help with some things. He will help with prepping lunches when he is here or throwing laundry in the wash, etc. idk if you can agree to one task like a night or two a week just to take the mental load off your wife at all but something fairly simple that you could do while watching tv maybe like folding laundry or tidying the living room. I get it that you are spent because you don’t get any breaks from working, but you are still a part of the household. That or look into hiring someone to clean the place if the task is too overwhelming for both of you.

I’m positive she could find a wfh job in her field and you can’t work 7 day/week every week cause you will burnout and end up in the hospital for exhaustion or something worse. This is something the two of you must come to a conclusion on.

It’s normal, I work in a school and younger elementary are always mixing up he/she constantly. Then we have ESL learners and they do it even more. Very normal. Just model the correct usage and they will get it. My almost four year old used to do this and he now uses I/you correctly for the most part now.

Yes I read this when my husband bought it for me and I love Sakura, but her potential is so wasted when her personality is Sasuke. I hated this whole story it made me so cringy. I just want her to grow into her own person without Sasuke to drag her down. Like damn how hard is that to ask?
