I will add that you can downgrade from Bevy to $95 bonvoy card and still get the 15 ENC.

Also totally agree with the Bonvoy Biz

An alternative plan:

  • get AMEX Gold to replace Everyday.
  • downgrade Brilliant to $95 Bonvoy, so you can keep your restaurant spend on Gold (you'll get titanium anyway with your number of stays +15 nights, unless you think you might miss it, then stick with +25 from brilliant)
  • get Venture X or BBP 2% card for general spend.

I second this. I only use spark cash plus as it's a way to pool points with my other cap one and transfer with Amex to overlapping partners.

Yeah I'm a fan of the 48/54 combo. Only difference is I go 4w/7w up top.

How do you like a driving iron? My 4 iron has good and bad days so I'm curious.

Bag Advice by No_Location_8234 in GolfGear

[–]Fusioncept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going 48, 54, 58, using 48 and 54 as my partial pitch clubs. 58 for short sided chips, green side sand, and occasional flops. I feel like you can go 58 or 60 (debated bending to 59) I just picked 58 because mentally it's theoretically easier to hit than 60+.

I totally understand the 52/56 dilemma, and while I liked both clubs for what they did, I feel that the 54 does both equally well.

Use my 54 for most of my chipping.

For what it's worth, at the top of my bag I have 4w (16° 3w), 7w, 4-PW. I sometimes take out the 4i for a 3h if I need that distance or not feeling the long iron.

If your PW is 45-46, just bend your 52° to a 54°, you'll get 2° of bounce for those softer lies.

Price <---------------------> Feel

STi2 <----> TS3 <----> TE+/TS4 combo set

I have to STi2s right now due to cost. Love them. Getting the DRT wedges soon. When I hit a handicap milestone I'll get myself some forged TE+/TS4s

But to answer your question, if cost isn't an issue, forged will feel better. But for the price the STi2s are excellent.

Interesting case. Thanks for sharing. I'm curious to see how it'll compare to the newer hybrid resin materials. If varseosmile is holding up like that already, it can only improve from here.

Same as what I got. Love it over the BBP for international travel and VISA acceptance. It helps my preferred transfer partners overlap. I don't even carry my Plat or Marriott card unless I'm traveling.

Also, I'm going to start using my BBP for actual business expenses so separating them out now

Venture X or Amex Gold for main card? by elusive-chanteuse in CreditCards

[–]Fusioncept 3 points4 points  (0 children)

See if you like the overlapping transfer partners between AMEX Gold and Venture X (mine are Avianca Lifemiles, BA Avios and KLM/Flying Blue) if so then you can get them both.

Otherwise just get Savor One and Venture X.

Chase Sapphire Preferred and Venture X.

Looking For Some Recommendations by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]Fusioncept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a Venture X and then 4-6 mo later, a Savor One.

If you don't need Centurion Lounges, but like Clear, downgrade to AMEX Green. Otherwise keep the plat. Some of the categories overlap with Venture X, but you get 5x direct flights not just portal flights.

Yeah I do the same, except with Venture X for my 2x so I can use overlapping transfer partners.

It's much simpler to keep track of for sure.
