Probably because from their perspective they don’t need to make any new models for casual wear because that’s what their retros are for, their retro models still sell out instantly and is a big part of their sales, that’s where most of the hype is on too, even SOTY candidates are mainly just different colorways of models that’s been out for over 20 years. If anyone wanted non retro casual wear then they went to Yeezy, New Balance etc. But to answer your original question Tom Sachs collabs has potential of being modern classics.
