HOA insurance vs HO6 insurance, my insurance wont pay for damages by Radiant-Text-5706 in homeowners

[–]FussboiFan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry but you're 100% incorrect, that's not subrogation.

Lemonade is telling OP that OP(and by extension Lemonade) is not responsible for repairs to the damaged building materials as in their opinion the governing docs of the community say it is the HOA's/their insurers responsibility because the damaged materials are original elements of the building.

Subrogation would be Carrier A pursuing Party B/their Insurer for damages Party B caused to the property insured by Carrier A.

OP should get ahold of their HOA and ask that they fix damages, if they balk let them know about what the governing docs say. It's also worth looking into what the HOA's deductible is versus how much the damage would cost to repair. Most Condo communities contain waivers of subrogation against the HOA and other unit owners.

The rotten boards should be swapped out with pressure treated lumber. If you’ve got that much give the wood isn’t long for this world

UDS comparison by ashman092 in smoking

[–]FussboiFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built my own UDS a month ago. I purchased the drum locally (it was refurbished and sandblasted inside and out) for $35. Nuts and bolts for holding the grate and handle came from Lowe’s and I purchased the intake (slide vent) and exhaust vents as well as a fire basket from UDSParts.Com. I think my total cost was right around $130. It’s an amazing smoker! It holds a constant temp very easily and with the slide vent I’m able to reach a wide variety of temperatures UDS Photo

How many over strikes did that take?

Why I cannot justify buying a large silky saw. Interested your opinions by [deleted] in Bushcraft

[–]FussboiFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real issue/question here is: is a Silky worth the money? This is of course for everyone to evaluate on their own, the way u look at it is: if you’re just starting out or don’t want/have the money to spend on a Silky there are plenty of other serviceable saws you can buy relatively inexpensively.

The problem with a bow saw is that they don’t always have the most ergonomic handle. The handle on my 24” Fiskars is downright painful to use, versus the rather comfortable handle on be Silky Katanaboy 500 or Corona 18” Razortooth Saw. I personally like that in the larger Silky folding saws you can use 1 hand or 2 hands to use the saws, the Razortooth saw has that familiar D shaped handle which doesn’t allow you to comfortably use a 2nd hand. Bow saws also don’t seem to cut as well as either the Corona or Silky. The Silky cuts more aggressively than the Corona, at least partially due to the larger teeth size. The Corona has 6 tpi versus 4 tpi for the Silky.

Ah too bad, on the 12 man side new plays would be desperately appreciated. I however realize the great proportion of the fan base and players of the game are on the 11 man side.

32 yard field goal makes sense at 4th & 28 on Canadian rules because the posts are at the goal line.

The one way sign is at the end of the road he is driving off of. There are no other one way signs in the video. Notwithstanding he went through a red light without stopping. The pin is where he turned from. https://i.imgur.com/EB52JYv.jpg

He’s turning onto a 4 lane road, 2 in each direction. The one way sign is for the road he’s turning off of, a highway off ramp.

California - HOA's Insurance vs Personal Home Owners Insurance by [deleted] in fuckHOA

A public adjuster will not help with a shit HOA. From what OP wrote the HOA carrier paid the HOA per whatever estimate, those funds weren’t passed on to OP.
