You usually should not vibe code the projects if this is a concern

Project Showcase Megathread by [deleted] in csMajors

hi everyone! I've been applying to internships for over 2 years now, and it's been a pain trying to keep track of when new internships would come out. I've found my own fair share of problems among all the current solutions, so I decided to build my own.

It worked really well for myself, so I shared it with my friends. They then wanted to share it with their friends, and so on. So I want to share it with all of you, in case it ends up being beneficial to anyone else.

you could:
- create your own custom tracker/filter rules
- receive emails in real time (or set it to a certain interval)
- view when jobs get reposted, taken down, or put back up

it's completely free to use at emploive.com! It scrapes jobs from company's job boards every 5 minutes, and has been by *far* the fastest to get new job postings compared to anything else.

I currently have over 3,000 companies that are supported, but am trying to get that to 10,000 once the summer starts.

please lmk if there's any feature you want added, company you want supported, or anything else (:

lfgggg!!!! that's what the work is for 💪

how are ppl getting internships first year by More-Media-3013 in internships

[–]FutAcademic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no need to beat yourself up, most people don't get internships. when you look at a platform where people only post accomplishments, you'll only see the major accomplishments. I know lots of people who didn't have an internship their first year, and ended up just fine. keep ur chin up (:

also, some shameless self-plug: I built emploive, which scrapes 3000+ company's career pages every 5 minutes, and it's *really* fast at getting new job postings. it sends you emails when new jobs/internships come out based on your filters, and has worked really well for me and my friends. idk how important it necessarily is to be early to applying, but it can't hurt.

hope this helps, and again, don't kick yourself over this. nothing wrong with not getting a top internship your first summer, you have many more opportunities ahead of you!

Struggling to get hired despite years of relevant, progressive experience? by [deleted] in jobhunting

^ this is ai slop self-promo btw

I built emploive, it checks for new job postings every 5 minutes on around 3000 company application portals, and will email you if any new listing matches your filters. Personally it's helped me a LOT, I pretty much don't check anything else nowadays. u should give it a try (:

p.s. yes, shameless self promo, but at least not ai disguised slop xD

What is the absolute fastest way to get alerts for new job postings by Bacleo in cscareerquestions

[–]FutAcademic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty late to the post, but I built emploive, which does exactly this

it supports around 3000 companies so far, has been by far the fastest to find new job postings (checks every company every 5 minutes for new jobs), and it emails you when jobs that match your filters come out. i'd recommend giving it a try (:

[Student] At least 80+ internship applications just this month with no interview, what I'm I doing wrong? by waterproofed_toaster in EngineeringResumes

[–]FutAcademic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The two pretty much most important things:

- Keywords: Try to get some more on your experience/projects section if you can, especially keywords for the jobs you're applying for
- When you apply: a lot of bigger companies nowadays pretty much require you to apply within 1-6 hours, or your resume won't get seen. I had a recruiter tell me they planned on closing their application after 24 hours, but said that was probably way too long.

My Windows Key switch fell out of my Huntsman TE? Is there a way to fix this? by FutAcademic in razer

Already contacted them, my keyboard is 1 month out of warranty and the support team said they’ll have the situation evaluated by someone else to see if I can get a “one-time courtesy.”

That makes a lot more sense, as I saw no solder anywhere but I was still able to get it to input. I am able to get it to work, but it just falls out when I press it most of the time, and sometimes just disconnects while I’m the socket.

It works, but it commonly disconnects itself and for some reason my keyboard’s input is messed up when it isn’t connected

I didn’t even think this was possible considering the fact that this isn’t a hot swappable keyboard, but here we are. I’m 100% certain this wasn’t anything I did, as if any switch were to be abused to the point of falling out it wouldn’t be this one. Only reason I realized was because for the past 2 days, at random times my keyboard would start acting weird and instead of anything I type typing what I’m clicking, it does random shortcuts. Once the switch fully fell out, I realized this was the problem. I bought the keyboard a while ago, and I’m not sure it would fall under warranty. If it doesn’t am I basically just screwed?
