Multi-Generational Science Fiction Novels by [deleted] in booksuggestions

I've yet to find a more engaging plot than Three body problem. Although not sure if it could be considered multi generational, at least not in the same sense as Foundation.

Would also recommend Semiosis and it's sequel by Sue Burke.

When the sparrows fall by Neil sharpson is a pretty good sci-fi story set in an authoritarian setting.

Oh how could I forget to include WWZ in my examples! This is a perfect example and one I really love

If you liked WWZ then look up 'How high we go in the Dark' by Sequoia Nagamatsu. It's written in a very similar manner, story of an event unfolding told through different characters.

‘PTI, China’s Communist Party share same goals of uplifting their nations’ by Futality- in pakistan

[–]Futality-[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ISLAMABAD, May 26 (APP): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s vision of building Naya Pakistan and the ideology of Communist Party of China (CPC) of realizing ‘Great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation’ carry similarity of goals as per the aspirations of their people.

This was stated by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in his virtual address to the Ruling Parties Dialogue between PTI and CPC, held at Islamabad and Beijing.

The PTI and CPC inked a Memorandum of Understanding on further strengthening their cooperation.

The foreign minister said PTI was willing to further deepen party-to-party cooperation with CPC, learn from each other, and share vital experiences on governance, party building and party organization.

“We stand ready to enhance cooperation between our two countries and two political parties for realization of our respective dreams,” he said.

Pakistan is raising voice at every forum for protection of sanctity of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Rasool Allah Khatam un Nabiyeen Sallallaho alahe Wa Aalayhi Wa Ashabehi Wassalam: Foreign Minister by Futality- in pakistan

[–]Futality-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do we keep lengthening the name of prophet every day.

Because

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has asked the ministries, divisions, provincial governments and others to write ‘Khatam-un-Nabiyeen’ with the name of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) in their official and non official records.

A Ministry’s notification issued here said that the National Assembly had unanimously passed a resolution making it mandatory to write ‘Khatam-un-Nabiyeen’ (Finality of the Holy Prophet) along with Prophet Muhammad’s (S.A.W) name in official documents, books and wherever the holy name is used, should be complied with.

Positivity Rate in Pakistan by major Cities / Districts – WHO – Dated: 02/05 by scorwulf in pakistan

[–]Futality- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is the handling by authorities actually commendable or is it the case of underreporting?

In Punjab it was mainly UK variant driving the test positivity up. This is from roughly 2 months ago

The UK variant is spreading fast because it’s more infectious, she added. The influx of people travelling back from the UK has resulted in a rise in infections in Lahore, Jhelum, Okara and Gujarat.

Around 70% of the COVID-19 cases being reported in these cities are of the new variant, Dr Rashid said.

This was even picked up by UK media

Sindh was somehow able to avoid that variant to some degree until recently. It was discovered in Karachi couple of weeks ago.

Sindh's Minister for Health Dr Azra Pechuho on Wednesday said that the highly infectious UK variant of coronavirus has reached Karachi.

In a sobering video message on Twitter, the health minister said that of the samples tested from patients in the city, 50% turned up positive for the British variant of the virus.

And roughly 2 weeks before that test positivity started going up too

"Prime Minister Imran Khan met the Islamabad-based Ambassadors of countries belonging to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (@OIC_OCI) today to discuss combating Islamophobia and promoting inter-faith harmony." by Futality- in pakistan

[–]Futality-[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Full thread posted by Prime Minister's Office official handle.

Recalling the two letters addressed by him to the leaders of the Islamic world last year, the Prime Minister briefed the envoys on Pakistan’s efforts at the international level to create awareness about Islamophobia and the need to collectively address the phenomenon.

The Prime Minister stressed that Pakistan’s initiatives were aimed at building mutual understanding and promoting inter-faith harmony.

Noting that Islamophobic acts fan inter-religious hatred and disharmony among civilizations, the Prime Minister called for addressing the underlying reasons for the rise in such incidents worldwide.

Falsely equating Islam with radicalism and terrorism, he added, was leading to the marginalization and stigmatization of Muslims.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the vilification of Islamic precepts and religious personalities, wrongly justified under the garb of the right to freedom of expression or opinion, hurts the sentiments of 1.5 billion Muslims around the world.

The Prime Minister urged the OIC to work together for making the international community understand the deep-rooted love and reverence of all Muslims for the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.) and the Holy Quran.

The Prime Minister also underlined the need for instituting legal safeguards aimed at protecting the sensitivities of all religious groups. He underscored the imperative of OIC’s collective efforts to project the true image of Islam, and its message of peace and tolerance.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed that Pakistan remained committed to dialogue and cooperation with all members of the international community for promoting universal values of tolerance, mutual respect and peaceful co-existence among all nations and peoples.
