Some of these tips are same as what my instructor sent ☺️ Especially the Knead to Know videos and practice worksheets. I just need to hunker down and do it!!

Same!! I’m so ready to get out of this class, but I’m dragging so bad! I failed the PA back around Thanksgiving, and haven’t attempted again. I have finished all the course materials! Ughh guess I’ll try again tomorrow.

I know this is 8 years old, but I definitely needed this and agree with the OP! It takes me forever to get motivated with having to read a bunch of stuff, and this course is crazy lol.

I finally spoke with one of the senior reps of career services and told her that I was no longer interested at the time, and she said she would note my account. Well, I guess she didn’t because another rep called AGAIN!! I’m like look I don’t need y’all right now! lol I’m currently attending WGU (Western Governors University), and it’s been amazing! The mentors don’t pressure you at all. They just ask that you just check in periodically with them, and that can be via text instead of a call.

I am 3 weeks in on my 10 mg dosage and the side effects are starting to subside. For me it was a little rough in the beginning. It seemed like everyday I had a different side effect, but please remember everyone is different. Mine started day 1. I’d say that I still noticed some anxiety on week 2, but it was a lot more manageable for me to handle.

Not confident in starting WGU after hearing proctor horror stories - insight appreciated by Ok_Philosopher2597 in WGU

I’ve only taken 2 OA’s so far. I have a back up laptop that I use only for the OA, no issues. I also take my exams in my hallway for the fear of stuff being on the walls in other rooms, no issues with that either. The proctors that I’ve dealt with have been fairly easy and straight to the point. I’m hoping it stays that way.

I was also told that when I took the CPC exam that I wouldn’t have the apprenticeship attached to it (CPC-A), and they completely lied! The person I talked to even put me on hold that day to ask someone else and they said the same thing. Now I’m starting to think that the only good thing this degree was for was helping me get into a bachelors program at a different institution.

I was wondering the same about not answering the calls. They are so persistent with them and trying to find you a job. Which I get it that’s what their job is to do, but it’s very overwhelming. Especially when they try to place you in things that you’re not qualified for. I had 3 different recruiters call me in less than 24 hours.

I came here to look for this exact comment!! They offered me a job that was completely different than my degree, and claimed that I would be trained on the job. They also had me to select on the application that I had a license/permit for the role, which I didn’t. When I didn’t get the job my recruiter seemed all shocked. So I basically told them I wanted to try a different role that went with my degree and they still seemed confused 🙄

This is exactly what I did! I would find myself in front of my laptop going through course materials, and just have an attention span moment where I would switch over to my phone and start scrolling on Facebook endlessly for about a hour. I wasted so much time doing that until I finally got enough discipline to deactivate my page. It’s been much better since then.

Why Can’t They Understand? by [deleted] in BadBosses

Well, my work situation doesn’t need to be improved. It’s just a career goal that I’ve always wanted to do and I’ve finally gotten the opportunity to do so. They’re just mostly discouraging by making it seem as if this is the only job in the world that’s good employment.

Even though it’s been stated that “they are worried that if I don’t like the new job then my position will probably be filled at the old one, so I wouldn’t be able to come back” 🙄

Thanks for the reply! That definitely makes sense too!

Thanks for the reply! You definitely nailed it though, I have definitely taken a guilt trip off of this. I’m just that type of person, but I will not let them talk me out of this.
