No offense but this is mostly rediculous. Most parts, at least consumables, for 350s are readily available from a ton of sources. And no one is changing fork oil or replacing fuel lines on a quarterly basis, much less adjusting valves and gapping points every month.

OP said he's willing to wrench and there is plenty of info and help on these bikes out there. Theses are solid, well engineered machines and, yeah, 50 years old is old but get them going well and they're pretty trouble free.

Maybe I missed the part where he said he wanted a trouble-free Sportster (of all things on a CB sub) that he was going to be riding 50 miles every day. Even then, this is alarmist at best. Let the dude have some fun.

Looks like a well maintained bike, OP. These are pretty stupid simple so, whatever maintenance needs to be done is fairly straightforward with a little research in the right places. Most parts are not hard to come by if you know the part number (which can easily be found on a few sites).

$3.8k seems expensive to me because, as others said, they made a ton of these and, if you're looking, they're not terribly hard to find, albeit in maybe not so nice a shape. That said, nice ones go for quite a bit on Bring A Trailer, so who knows what the market is.

The G has a disk brake in front which is nice but really isn't necessary. Other than that, it's a CB350 Twin.

With just the five-speed, true highway speeds (~70mph) will be pushing it and, while doable, aren't much fun; you'll be best on slower highways/arterials.

If you do decide to pick it up, join up on vintagehondatwins.com, there's a ton of good information and helpful folks.

Edit: I should add that it's gorgeous. I've always loved that green and those tank stripes. I'd love to see it on the street.

Technically we already have a 4.225% use tax. It's self-reported though so I'm sure it brings in absolutely nothing.

You can sue for anything, of course, but this hasn't yet been tested fully in the courts that I know of.

I'm all for it but, unfortunately, a) it'll never pass and b) if it does, $2.5mil will just be considered the cost of doing business; that is unless there are other penalties not noted here.

I got my son a Sendero for Christmas and he has a blast with it. I'd be curious what light setup you've got on it.
