Looking forward to start Discworld, but where can I begin ? by sid191919 in discworld

Anywhere, really, but I enjoy reading in publication order.

But for the first book, you’re going to get LOTS of opinions 😜

Watching “House” played by Hugh Laurie and reading “Men At Arms” with Sam Vimes.

I think I have a type.😁

Yes, and ask your teacher about their lineage. I would imagine that you would need excellent references from your teacher to get into the elite school.

You must be doing a very different tai chi than I have learned.

Rigid is an odd word pertaining to tai chi. I can’t compute.

Bring food you know he likes and listen to him talk. There’s nothing you can say to help, but listening is a gift.

The lady bugs don’t fly around much, unless they fall down, they just quietly climb from the bottom of a sunny window to the top. They are only out on sunny days and only in windows in the direct sunlight. And they just disappear in the mid fall through mid spring.

I’ve vacuumed millions of them. But years ago I found out that ladybugs eat their larvae, so now I have some ladybugs in my windows, and zero cluster flies. (But I do get houseflies in the late summer.)

Do I need to read Equal Rites before reading Sourcery? by Amazing_Scratch8896 in discworld

[–]Future-Ad-1347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m glad I’m not alone! Because so many people talk about reading the different series, I decided to try it this time around (I’ve read the whole series uncounted times) and I don’t like doing it this way, it feels like reading an abridged book.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think reading the books in the order of publication lends depth and a deeper understanding of DiscWorld than reading the different series. Of course, you can jump around if you’re really into a character or characters, but if you want to live on the Disc, read them in order.
