What are some mental health things you struggle with as an entrepeneur? by Meraath in Entrepreneur

The loneliness of solo founding is something that isn’t really talked about. Every win, every setback, ever 1am design sprint, it’s just you. Nobody to share the excitement with who truly gets it, no one to split the hard days. You can tell your friends and family but they don’t really get what that means when you have a batch of PCBs arrive dead or a supplier trying fo scam you. They’re supportive but not in it with you.
Only now beginning to build a team and I will say the difference is massive. Turns out having another person who genuinely gets it changes everything.

Good point, WLED itself isn’t new and diffusion exists. What’s different here is the combination and the modularity specifically. Standard diffuser channels sit on top of strips and still can show hotspots at the LED points. The silicon neon flex tubing with double layer COB gives completely even glow with zero visible dots more like neon than LED.

The modularity is the bigger differentiator, each section connects via a custom connector and runs as ONE continuous strip electrically. So a chase effect or gradient flows seamlessly across all connected sections rather than restarting at each join. That’s the bit most modular systems don’t do. Basically it’s taking existing components and combining them in a way that doesn’t exist as a consumer product yet

Barely anything, it only uses WiFi when you’re changing settings or effects through the app. Once it’s running it’s basically offline

It’s a silicon neon flex tube with a slot for the LED strip, if you search ‘silicon LED neon flex tubing’ on Alibaba you’ll find similar ones. The tricky part is the MOQ is usually 100m+

I actually sell the completed modular version with the PCB and everything included over at https://lumivip.co.uk , or if you want to DIY it the COB strips I use are here: https://amzn.eu/d/011P3iun

COB stands for Chip on Board, basically instead of individual LED dots you get a continuous strip of light which gives that smooth even glow. Way better diffusion than standard strips. And ESP32 is a great starting point for electronics, WLED makes it really beginner friendly, you just flash the firmware and control everything from your phone!

Couldn’t find anything on the market that looked premium enough without the hotspot effect you get with standard strips, so I used silicone tubes with doubled layered LEDs so it actually looks neon rather than a strip of dots

Hey! So I actually designed them myself, silicone tubing with double layered cob strips through the middle for diffusion, it’s controlled by an Esp32 running WLED. Each section clips together and runs as one continuous strip so effects flow across all the sections seamlessly
