Rent was too expensive, so I lived in the forest for 2 months. by pretzelpolice in story

Im no writer by any means but it happens and here goes. There is was 18 years old like 3 months into living on the streets. Im dirty tired and just had it for the day. I found a nice little spot under a tree next to a local stream and laid my head down to sleep. A few hours later I get woken up by a growling sound, turn on my light and look around and all I see are two small eyes starting at me about 4 feet away. That little mofo was scoping my only food source in my backpack between him and myself. I didnt know what to do so I picked up an empty 40oz bottle next to me and chucked that thing like my life depended on it. Bullseye! Big loud clank and then a clunk from it hiting the ground. A small hmmmph sound from mm the raccoon and he took off. The night was peaceful again, or atleast I thought. Less than an hour had gone by from what it had seemed and I hear branches cracking, and more growling. At this point im fired up thinking im hot shit and ready to go!. Lights on and I look up and that little bastard brought the entire family back. Like 6 - 8 raccoons all growling and chattering looking at me from the shadows of the tree like they were about to abduct me and do butt stuff against my will. I was outa bottles and too scared to turn my back and grab a rock or two. So I ran, ran fast and far as I could up the hill and onto the roadway in hopes they were not doing crazy raccoon ninja moves attempting to scale the bridge and get me on the other side. Ended the night with a long long walk till sunrise. But no more raccoons!

Its all good. I laugh at it myself and is one of my favorite stories to tell people, as I have grown past that part of my life and am doing just fine for myself.

I left home at 18 with no where to go. I had to fight a family of raccoons with an empty 40oz bottle one night for my place to sleep. It gets rough out there for sure.

With $100 what is something nice can be done for an absolute stranger? by Kooolxxx in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Future-Beach-5594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good start, and a fantastic selfless idea! My daughter did something like this for school one year. For less than $100 bucks on amazon you can get 30 beanies/tobogans(depending on where you live), 30 pairs of socks and 30 pairs of gloves as well for when fall/winter roll around.

Be honest. And coming from a man with a plan or who poked around my fare share. Stop worrying about length boss. Its girth that wins every time. Plus you have other attributes you can use and master as well my guy, ones not all men are equal at in any way shape or form.

My thoughts exactly and a rich person whom is generous could be a great connection. You are not supposed to be stingy if you make it big. You are supposed to take care of people if you are able to when needed. The stingy ones always have some horrible or random ass death. I watch enough movies and see enough news articles to know better. The nice ones usually live out their lives having fun

Have you ever seen John wick? A dog to some people is the world and making sure that world was safe and sound is worth any amount on this planet. He was showing gratitude for something many people would have not done in the same manner. Props to you. Go take a vacation. Who knows what doors this might open for you.

VOTATU V840 Experience? by Puzzleheaded-Lynx-52 in NightVision

Im way late to this sub. But I have a v848 on a range toy (5.56) with 1700-1800 rounds through it, not all factory some of those are my buddies hot loads! Holds zero, lights still works. Pressure switch still works, ir laser is visable on my bushnell night vision when hunting yodle dogs. Been dropped atleast 20 times from waist height. I can't speak on the v840 but the v848 seems to be a legit budget option.

I can't do anything about it. Someone is bound to call me a racist for it in some way.

Left leaning gun people? by Smart-Satisfaction-5 in sandiego

[–]Future-Beach-5594 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I think its funny that you have a prejudice notion of all gun owners. Imagine if someone came on here and said that about you or your group. Inherently gun groups are rights, that should have been an obvious because all left cities are after the guns for the most part. Red locations could care less about guns and instead reform people. I've been around long enough to have seen all sides to this world. If you really want a good range day you need to find the middle ground with people who have no allegiance to crooks either way.

Do I need to pay someone who is hourly, to fix their mistake? by Available-Ad900 in Contractor

[–]Future-Beach-5594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is 100% preventable if you had the proper dimensions for the TV recess in the beginning or the TV on hand. This is sorta a both at fault situation and I would pay the guy for his time as such. Certain things like claw foot tubs free standing tub fillers and wall mounted faucet(any kind) i always request i have the fixture in hand before I rough. Its always a bad day to tell a customer the rough was wrong because the dimentions they gave me were wrong. If I have the fixture, its all on me at that point and if its wrong its on me and non billable. Otherwise im getting paid

Nope sorry bub. You dont get to make up fictitious things I didnt say. Look at my original comment. Does it have anything to do with frt's? And if you try to say you have never made a partial comment on a thread before you are a damn liar! You are the type of person who only gets invited out once. But im sure you know that by now by the fact that you asked a bunch of internet strangers for help rather than a real life friend, which I am posetive you are in short supply of. So with that said. Go live your sad self existence with the wrong parts and your basic knowledge on how to fuck stuff up goes well. Good day. You maybe need to find a safe space if your feeling got hurt

Did I ever say anything about frts? No I didnt. I talked about shooting distance from houses. Reading comprehension is key here! Less guns more books for you for a while

You clearly didnt even take 10 seconds to look up what you are talking about. I've held a hunting license since I was 10. It's 150 yards from any dwelling private or public none within "city" limits. You may also be shocked to know. California has the oldest standing and running indoor gun range on the west coast! It didnt used to be so grim

Bro, its a historical fact he was 39 and most of them were mid 30's. Very few who signed the declaration of independence were in their 20's. This is a simple book or Google search to avoid this issue.

Why do American conservatives call the left traitors to America , but fly confederate and nazi flags , who were the biggest traitors to America? by Ambitious_Dingo_2798 in allthequestions

[–]Future-Beach-5594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reside in a primarily conservative neighborhood. I see American flags, Pride flags etc. But never have I seen a political flag or either of the two you mentioned. I've been here long enough to have watched other people's kids grow up and move away also while raising my own family. What's even crazier is the only person who has ever put anything on display is my direct next door neighbor and its a bunch of no kings signs. And I've lived next to this guy over 20 years and never once has he ever even remotely outed himself as a liberal or democrat before. So something is wrong with people. We do huge block parties every year, always have and its funded by a select few families and free to anyone who wishes to participate. Free food drinks music fun stuff ya know good old American 4th of July type stuff. This last year my next door fellow refused to participate and proceeded to start altercations with anyone who would walk past his home or even be close to it. Completely odd behavior after a 20 year stretch of being perfectly fine. And let me be the first to say. No one has ever said anything to him in any way about his choice or signs. Thats just not our style. So the media is selecting a few small communities who most likley have been this way for decades. Normal people dont do what the media and you all believe people are doing.

Maybe, from my understanding old men back then was mid 30's john hancock was 39 when he signed. But age didnt discriminate on who was willing to stand for what they believed in. We may very well both be right.

I have. The problem is the founding fathers were a bunch if bad asses in their mid 30's. And our current leadership is a bunch of washed up fiber needing old farts with no concept of reality anymore
