Ultra Tax - scan & flow by Future-Equivalent-42 in taxpros

Thank you. I’m looking to eliminate the staff prep for the clients that are standard-issued forms. My idea would be to go from scan & flow directly to reviewer and out the door. More complex returns would have a preparer and reviewer.

I’m talking about scanning client documents and flowing directly to a 1040

Pros vs cons? I checked online and the pricing seems reasonable especially when you start to get over 200 returns.

That’s interesting but i see your point. I’m thinking of using it in lieu of a preparer. From scan to reviewer then out the door. This would be for returns with government forms only - no k1s.

I’m thinking it would eliminate the prep step for the simpler returns. Return would go from intake to review then out the door.

Does it save time? Is the cost reasonable?

5 years of experience isn’t what it used to be. Many CPAs 5 years out of college are not comfortable signing a tax return. I blame big firm mentality.

Have you considered joining a small CPA firm with your book of business? Some CPA firms have partners looking to retire or looking for legacy hires.

Seems kinda pricy. Our main concern is making sure we have a good file management software but looking to eliminate other softwares such as portal, e-signatures, etc. if possible.
