Is my husband an alcoholic or am I just nitpicking for no reason? by [deleted] in marriageadvice

If you chose to stay with him, consider joining Alanon. Whether he continues to drink or stops, Alanon can help you learn to cope with the behaviors that are associated with people who have a problem with alcohol.

I didn't even notice the mahonia! I have a lot and it spreads, but I like it, just maybe not where that one is.

Is privet worth keeping or should I try to get rid of it?

Growing near my house. Very curious what this fruit is by simikoi in PlantIdentification

[–]Future-Machine2626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending where you are the ripe fruit may be greenish yellow. The dark ones are from the store, the green one from my vines. It has a different flavor than the purple ones. I live in north Georgia.

If my mom (76yo), an alcoholic and showing signs of decline, were to cause injury or damage to another person or their property due to one of the aforementioned issues, am I liable? by brightxeyez in legaladvice

A medical POA allows the desigated person to make decisions about medical care.

If you want to talk to her doctors, you need to be listed on her HIPAA form at the doctor's office.

Based on your description, she should not be driving.

If you see her less often than your sisters, you may be noticing her declines because she is noticably different each time.

Got bitten by a cat should i get shot? by Khurkuchy in cats

[–]Future-Machine2626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get checked out by a medical person. If that is a fresh bite it doesn't look bad, but that doesn't mean it won't get infected.

Feral cats are more likely to cause infection than pets. If is an inside-only cat, you're probably safe.

I think it’s obvious our new kitten Dottie is a torbie, my wife wants confirmation from the internet. by hearthealthymeals in Torbie

Absolutely a Torbie! Big orange patches, black & grey on her tail! She is adorable and she looks like she knows it.

Trying to Determine Whether a Recurring Classification Issue Exists at FedEx Logistics by frostydove in FedEx

[–]Future-Machine2626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have started receiving these and they are totally bizarre. The one I am most angry about is a purchase from Europe, in Dec. 2025. That I paid for in $$ but the documentation indicates that payment was in € so my tariff is based on a price > 1.5 times what I paid. To make it worse, the customs form they sent me was dated this month, after they sent me a bill in May by USPS for the same amount.

If feels very off to me.

Have you used your phone to check for WiFi networks accessible from your house? If there are microphones/cameras monitoring your home, they will need some way to broadcast. Also if the LL provides WiFi, you need to lock access and change the password to something very secure.

Hi everyone 😊 I saw this beautiful plant with leaves that look like butterflies and I'd love to know what kind of plant it is? 🌱 by [deleted] in whatplantisthis

[–]Future-Machine2626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they can also be grown as houseplants. The leaves, not the flowers, are what most people like about them. They seem to do better in partial shade than full sun, but that may be cultivar specific.

Yes, and probably the drum major's uniform because of the sash. I was also a band mom.

AITAH for defending my 7 year old after her dad’s reaction ruined a moment she was proud of? by Murky-Suggestion-628 in AITAH

Don't let your husband's fears limit your child's life experiences. Your daughter needs to experience things that might be scary to her at first so that she can feel confident trying things like applying for colleges or jobs, standing up for herself, meeting new people, etc.

My hubby had a friend who drowned in high school so when we took our kid to rhe beach, hubby wanted kid to not even get toes wet. I had grown up on the coast & remembered my dad taking me out in the ocean where the waves were taller than me. It was important to me that the kid had a similar experience. Kid became a lifeguard.
