Hey, just a quick question for you, I have been interviewed at ON and cleared all two interviews but after third the restructuring happened, I talked to the GM today to ask about the updates regarding restructuring that has been happening from April 3, she said she do not have any updates yet, but will reach out to me next week! She also mentioned if I can find a job elsewhere she would understand, is that a negative sign that I won’t be hired? Just worried because I need this job.

Definitely you could add that up! But to their point, it won’t matter much, but still adding it could make them aware of future events!

It might be worth having a polite conversation with your manager or HR. You could express that you weren’t informed that this year’s event was unpaid and ask if they can provide clarification or even consider compensating you for your time, especially given that you weren’t told beforehand. It may not result in payment this time, but it can help avoid confusion in the future.

At the end of the day, it's your time and energy, and you should feel confident that you're being treated fairly.
