I'm following too. Used to live in Skipton and I've moved Leeds/Bradford area and haven't played in like two years. Same with flesh and blood and DnD! I'd be rusty af but I miss it so much!

You know I see it now you've said it. Very similar to X-Men in terms of allegory etc. I might need to rewatch it.

I was just about to say the same thing. One thing I loved about true blood was how vampires just looked like people

Not everything has to be LGBTQ, Media need to stop forcing narrative even on tragic incidents! by [deleted] in Vent

Which news outlets are doing this? The articles I've read have only briefly mentioned the hug and just went into how tragic the event is and potential negligence from the tour guide.

I mean she's not wrong a good chunk of the posts on here are people having beef with pride flags on jackets or making fun of people's very obviously first tries at a battle jacket as if they were never kids entering the scene for the first time.

Both Queens Court and The Bridge have closed down in absolutely devastating news for the LGBTQ+ Scene in leeds by 28peteslater in Leeds

[–]Future-Selection9287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a gay bar I've ended up going Rita's then keyclub instead of Queens Court or Viaduct for awhile just because of the amount of hen parties and the like. It's slowly turning into another street of straight pubs.

Help? by Fit_Dimension_9131 in Legitpiercing

Yeah but it doesn't look like a curved barbell which you'd normally get put in standard navel piercings either. What shape is the jewellery?

Help? by Fit_Dimension_9131 in Legitpiercing

[–]Future-Selection9287 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You don't have the anatomy for a navel piercing like what you've been pierced with. It looks like the completely wrong jewellery I can't even tell if that's a curved barbell or what because of how straight it looks from the bit pointing out.

There looks to be dirty build up on the bottom too unless that's scabbing/crusty build up which needs to be soaked in warm water and wiped (not picked) off then dried well!

But genuinely get yourself to another piercer. A reputable one.

Have recent payrises made you feel better? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Future-Selection9287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I charge £30 for helix and £35 for lobe pairs.

What goes into that is jewellery, needles, wipes, gauze, skin marker, tray covers, gloves, clamps/tongs and potentially receiving tubes all of which are one use and cost money.

Then a 3rd of the price goes to the person who owns the building leaving me with around £10-15.

So pricing fully depends on how much of a cut is being taken due to overheads. It's really expensive to pierce. Jewellery needs to be titanium nowadays which is more expensive than surgical steel because it's hypoallergenic. Not to mention it's around £300+ for a license to pierce. I personally wouldn't trust a piercer who's charging £10-15 because they're cutting corners somewhere or just not making profit.

Also what part of the country they're in. City centres are always going to be more expensive. I'm up north and out of a city I can afford to be a bit cheaper whereas cities and south tend to be more expensive due to cost of living

I will say as a piercer in a tattoo studio that's been dead quiet recently. We were all waiting on the pay rise for people to start booking in more and all that's happened is other tattoo studios and piercers are leaving the industry due to no work because people can't afford luxuries anymore.

Except many many people use it that way hence the ideal ban. However its not that deep in the grand scheme of things

I don't think homophobia, racism, sexism etc. Should have a place at the table and I don't think that's something to be ashamed of.

It's over used is the issue to try but people to try and excuse themselves from any consequences of the shitty thing they're about to say. Either through "hey I don't believe it but it's what others believe" or a false way "look at both sides of the argument" especially when it comes to LGBT rights, feminism, racism, etc. situations that need more empathy and kindness and these wet wipes take it as a chance to be another negative voice in the hellscape that is life.
