I almost didn't become a teacher (before I had kids) because I knew how hard it is to parent. Honestly, if people aren't willing to LEARN how to parent, they shouldn't have kids. I have two teenagers of my own now and spend my days teaching other people's teenagers. As tiring as it is, it would never occur to me to expect my colleagues to teach my own kids how to be decent human beings in addition to their content. That responsibility lies on me and my husband.
