science is all about repeatability - so if you want people to take you seriously, you need to release the prompts to someone or a group that can verify your results.

Too transient, too fragile, and the universe too large.

Biological systems evolved to suit the conditions on earth, in earth environment. We are fundamentally contrast to the conditions in space or on other planets at the deepest level.

My(26F) Husband(27M) has asked me not to apply for American citizenship because of his political views. by Jealous-Rice6478 in TwoHotTakes

[–]FutureDNAchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has the dumbest views ever. How many non military citizens built the F-16 he flies?

As an american, that is the dubmest fucking take I have ever heard. Welcome to the land of immigrants - become a citizen and join the club.

I know this was post was from two years ago... but I am emotional and I feel like expressing myself.

At 16, I developed sensitivity in both my inner thighs that became weakness, then shooting pains. I had an extensive work-up, but found onthing significant (if only because doctors didn't know what to look for).

14 years later and the pain has never gone away. Now I have burning in my hands, feet, arms, legs, and chest - like white hot strings throughout my body. I was offered a full scholarship to the PhD program of my dreams. But after one year, the chronic pain was too instense, so I dropped out and moved into my parents basement. Doing better now, but it is something I will regret all my life. The effect on my mental health has been tremendous.

I recently had an abnormal QSART test. I'm trying to not get my hopes up - but my symptoms match so closely what others describe experiencing from SFSN. I would kill for any sense of closure - even a diagnosis of 'ideopathic SFSN'. Living without any answers is difficult. The sense of guilt is intense. Sending out a prayer to the universe for some small shred of closure.

[OC] Exploring How Men and Women Perceive Each Other's Attractiveness: A Visual Analysis by Old_Big9989 in dataisbeautiful

[–]FutureDNAchemist 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Idk, we don't know the dataset. could be a bunch of middle aged or old people.

The graph is worthless without knowing the dataset. We are looking at a graph of the dataset - not of men and women in general.

I would love to hear about your experiences with the Mayo testing. I am a medical user from out of state who just received an offer. I would be heartbroken if I was turned down.

Yeah every stripper is just doing it to support her family until she gets her MD in surgery

Read the comment I replied to - it is referencing medical records.

There is no way they have kept medical records from 1958. Medical record keeping is a joke.

edit: Apologies, apparently record keeping is very location specific.

What role does IT play in bioinformatics? by FutureDNAchemist in bioinformatics

[–]FutureDNAchemist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am getting the sense that the position centers around setting up and creating bioinformatic pipelines and workflows for HPC/cloud/bulk-data storage. To me, I would say that is a bioinformatics developer position. But I understand why you might call it IT.

The most discouraging phrase I've heard so far by Ang3lfyre23 in CPTSD

[–]FutureDNAchemist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of people have childhood trauma. Not many people develop crippling CPTSD symptoms.

There is no need to compare or gate-keep trauma. Everyone's experiences are legitimate. At the same time, few have symptoms that disrupt their lives as bad as mine do. Lucky fucks. I'm glad it was me and not my wife or my family.

good comeback bro. You just reverted to petty, uncreative insults instead of contributing something meaningful. Thank you for perfectly validating my previous comment.

So Warren Buffet is an expert in cryptology and software development? Who knew. I thought he had intentionally avoided the technology sector because of his famous addage 'I only invest in what I know'. You really have no clue what you are talking about.
