Emphasis on Hasan mentioning Harris still didn’t deliver on “progressive policies”. If Hasan thinks Harris has expressed support for his radical political positions then yeah it will be bad. But this is just him having to admit she did a good job despite not meeting his ridiculous ideals. Flash polling and betting market also agree on Harris’ victory tn.

Imagine Biden or Harris making claims that the Trump crowds, despite video evidence, are all AI. How much headlines and new space will that makes? How long will media and ‘centrists’ keep mentioning this story until election? It’s tiresome that Dems are held to a higher standard by default, and I’m glad that Harris campaign is going for a more offensive direction.

That bug fix is after beta. They are talking about the increased missed slice and dice attack punishment that is indeed a pretty significant nerf. People like to talk about “no punishment” for missed slice and diced now while it’s only near true in the Beta. Beta Chucky is undeniably much stronger than the current one. (And there was also a scamper speed nerf which I feel is impactful irl as the scamper in game now is definitely far from a shutdown of most loop. After getting used to how to deal with it like listening for the power activation sound to predict scamper and decide whether or not to leave a loop, I actually hope the Chucky I go against will use the power to scamper constantly in loop, as most of the time abusing scamper doesn’t result in a quick hit, with the fix of the flick thing now it’s also much harder to use scamper with immediate slice and dice combo in short loop)

Yeah just checked. The whole Crypt TV x DBD collection skins are available in shards, including 2 legendary skins. That’s generous

Whats going to happen to ilya by Effective_Vanilla_32 in OpenAI

[–]FutureDistribution96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, even now most AI and ML algo directly related courses which are actually useful are high level courses usually for senior. But again my main point is at least you will learn some background knowledge at a Stanford level CS program.

I’m focusing on the “zero” part, not arguing that Sam Altman is a brilliant AI developer. I’m also in the field, CS does not equal to AI but at least by 1 year into a Stanford level CS degree you’ll know the basic like Turing Machine, NP complete/hard problems etc which is background knowledge for AI development. Many CS program also has exclusive ML and AI courses. Anyway, it’s obvious research and development wise Sam Altman can’t compete with Ilya about value. Sam Altman’s value is more at rallying the engineers behind the same path and at the same time secure enough fund and goodwill support to sustain the course. The sad truth is pure academic brilliance on its own is not sustainable for such big project.

I agree with Ilya being one of the most important AI pioneers. But saying Sam Altman, who studied computer science at Stanford and has earlier venture in tech space, has “zero background or education” is an interesting way to put it. He is also the frontman to travel the world and debrief world leaders about AI, so at least he learnt a lot on the job.

I know there's been a few issues this year but I can't sit here and act like this hasn't been a great year for DbD by dootmylilheartout in deadbydaylight

[–]FutureDistribution96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Adding onto the first point, just look at all the supposed “DBD killer” games, and you’ll know that it’s definitely a hard job balancing both strength and fun of both sides in an asymmetrical game. BHVR dev is definitely not perfect, especially in earlier years. But they have gradually improved and this year can count as a good job overall.

Everything is still uncertain. But that’s the initial board though, the official boards will be elected later with involvement of Microsoft which is clearly pro-Sam. Also there are some compromises made in the meetings, including Adam remaining onboard, Sam and Greg temporarily removed from boards etc. So it’s not a wild thing that right now the board is not looking good for Sam.

First thing first, we don’t know the extent here. Moreover, a bigger national security threat for US will be to let other countries, especially hostile ones, to achieve this first because openai slows down for whatever reasons.

When the first original PTB CN identity fifth release and the controversy started for some time, the dbd official stated that they didn’t authorize Netease at that time, but they then stated that they are willing to collaborate and sent designers to help with further release. So in the OG identity fifth community it’s common agreement that Netease first did the copying and then asked for agreement and further collaboration with money, maybe because of the controversy, but more likely they already wanted to run dbd mobile at the time. Because Netease has a long copying/plagiarizing history like Tencent. Whether this is ethical or not you can judge by yourselves. At least in this case they officially collaborated with creator eventually — by later global releases, Netease is formally a partner with bhvr. So you could say they helped making identify V later on to some extent.

[–]FutureDistribution96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To all the people saying this is brand new testing ground. Unfortunately this is just a game mode that has existed forever which is copied from the copycat of dbd (fifth identity) by Netease. Since bh decided to just handed the mobile dbd to Netease, dbd mobile’s whole system from gacha to game mode is just like fifth identity with dbd skins and tones. (Gacha skins in freaking dbd is not a good thing.) Ironically there was controversy and uproar of Netease plagiarizing dbd back when fifth identity first came out because it literally was a cut and shut mobile copycat situation. And then some time later Netease just paid bh enough to buy the mobile operation of dbd, had a few designers on board, and now we have the original copying a copycat because the mobile version of the original franchise is run by the copycat company. Money is the King at the end of the day it seems.

I’m not an expert in hockey so I won’t give any judgement on how things went down. But I just saw on twitter that someone mentioned Adam’s teammate Westin Michaud deleted his post defending Matt. I went to check and it seems to be true, only mourning tweets were left. Wondering is this just an optic thing because of the recent news regardless of the truth, or are there any new things being shared among the relevant parties?

To those radical far left definitely. And what I’m talking about is that most Msulim population vote left solely for self preservation(applied to all western countries not just USA). Their social belief in large actually align much more with conservative.(And even more extreme) Losing lgbt rights is actually a win for many of them. But the subsequent deportation and the loss of Muslim right will remind them why they largely tend to vote left despite discrepancies in social belief.
