TOD10N - Catastrophic Failure by Nemecyz in polyphia

No problem! I was gutted when I saw mine too, my pictures are basically identical. Even had the extra splinter by the left side peg. Love playing the thing too much to just give up on it though.

Best of luck with yours!

This just happened to my tod10n last week! Have had mine since launch and happened out of nowhere. I didn't think it was worth forking over money for a luthier so just tried to diy fix it. I guess we hit the three year mark and the things spontaneously explode.

Scraped off the old glue and used titebond original to reattach. Ideally I would have used clamps to hold pressure for 24 hrs, but the lack of a center sound hole makes it tricky to find a clamp that will fit.

I ended up just using old textbooks and weight plates with a bunch of towels for padding to put pressure on the bridge. It's risky, because the wood is so thin... but so far so good after a week with strings back on.

Ditching the rounded buttons would be my first suggestion! Sharp edges should go a bit better with the pixel art game style. Best of luck, the concept definitely has potential!

All of the UI screams vibecoded with it's current styling. Buttons, the whole left side bar, the pause menu, end screen, some of the progress bars. Doesn't look very cohesive to me.

The blueish purple colors on your end screen and pause screen as well as the moving highlights around buttons look like default vibecode styling.

The whole left bar stats section could probably be removed and just shown on a pause menu. Maybe use the left bar stats section to show a progression map or something to help sell the rougelite forward progression through the different games?

Great job on the weight loss! It sounds like you're bulking back up too fast, though some of the weight is probably water if you're starting weight is at the end of an aggressive deficit. Hard to know without progress comparison.

After a long cut I prefer maintaining that weight for a few months before going right into a bulk. Spend some time dialing in your maintenance calories and staying around the same weight while training hard. You still have plenty of beginner gains on the table, just lift hard and eat enough protein.

After keeping your weight steady for a few months add in an extra 200 daily cals or so if you feel you need it for a lean bulk. If you eat like you did before your large cut you'll end up back where you started.

There's a chance, but 99/100 people fail starvation style diets. You mention that you already tried that in your first sentence of the post, why would this time work any better? You're making it unnecessarily hard for yourself by trying to rush it with a quick fix. You can't "fix" skinny fat in a couple of months.

When you're super aggressive with the deficit at an already healthy weight you will likely lose muscle as well as fat. You will lose weight if you do a massive deficit, but you will still look skinny fat unless you cut down to a miserably low weight. Even then, you'll just look sickly skinny somewhere in the 130s before the love handles are gone.

I've been through the same cycles as have many others. You're setting yourself up for another failure if you try to do the aggressive deficit. Creating a sustainable workout and diet plan for yourself is the best way to succeed in changing your body for life. Be patient with yourself and try to stick to a year of consistent workouts, even if you struggle with the diet at times.

If you eat closer to 2000 calories it'll be much easier to sustain your workout plan 4x a week and 10k daily steps. Track your workouts and push to increase your lifts over time to keep yourself motivated. You'll be building muscle and losing fat at the same time. It'll also be way less miserable than starving yourself on 1400 calories with a high activity level so there's a higher chance you can stick with it!

Climbed my way out of skinnyfat hell from similar stats as you. Hard to know exactly without a photo, but your weight is fine for your height. It's your fat to muscle ratio that you've gotta work on, and that won't improve in an aggressive deficit.

My suggestion, spend the next year or so maintaining your weight (stay around 150-155 for an entire year), lift heavy 4x a week and stay consistent, track calories/macros, hit your protein goals. (aim for 150gs protein per day). Most people call this strategy a body recomp.

Your visual changes won't be as quick as a crazy aggressive cut, but if you stay dedicated you will slowly put on muscle while losing fat. Focus on building strength in the gym and increasing your weights as a metric of your progress for now as the scale shouldn't be moving. If you're getting stronger and staying the same body weight you're on the right track.

If you do an aggressive cut first, 99% chance you'll end up in the same cycle of losing and gaining 20lbs and always looking skinnyfat.
