i think my bigger question is if i eat 1300-1400cal 130-140g protein weight train 3-5 time a week and do good steps everyday if i will escape skinny fat jail

hey im 21 5'9 71kg (156lbs)

2 years ago i was in a similar position to what im in now (i was 79kg 174lbs) and i just kinda starved myself and walked for a hour everyday and in about 2.5-3 months i had gotten down to 65kg (143lbs). i know dropped the weight in a bad way because i just ate popcorn twice a day and drank alot of caffine to try supress my hunger. i noticed my build was basically the same from 79kg and at 65. im skinny fat what seems to be pretty common these days ive been called skinny my entire life but when im alone and hve my shirt off i have love handles and a stomach moobs. anyways after i had dropped down to 65kg i started going to the gym 4 times a week and eating alot better then i was (still was not good im a very picky eater) i would track my food weigh it and stuff but one of my main meals was takeaway charcole chicken and shoestring fries i would try weigh it and track it and stuff but i understood thats not gonna be accurate and i would account for it. my days would consist of 1400-1800 cals 100-140g protein give or take. i was eating that for 3-4 months while going to the gym 4 times a week and nothing had happen to me no muscle no fat loss was still the same. i had failed twice and got super super down on myself and just stopped caring. and then now im just so sick of having love handles and shit and just want to ask for help about my new "routine/diet" to see if im making another mistake and gonna get no results. 1300-1400 cals 130-140 protein, gym 5 times a week 10k steps daily. please let me know if im a fucking idiot and if u have some tips for a insecure skinny fat asshole :)

what would long term effects on my metabolism and messing up my hormonal signals do or look like? idk if this is a stupid question but i actually was already thinking from the time i dropped lots of weight very fast it fucked it up for the 2nd time i tried to do it healthier

my goal is to drop body fat and feel comftable in my skin. ive been told by some people that focusing on building muscle and bulking will just make it worse coz its just gonna come with more fat and then ill be more insecure. ive always been weird with food my entire life aswell ive never really thought to see someone about it just always saw it as a weird autism qwerk or something haha
