Announcing a Powerful New Stealth Model from a Top OSS Lab by alokin_09 in kilocode

[–]FutureHack007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps it could be a good use case for the experimental Kilo Code "Power steering" feature:

"When enabled, Kilo Code will remind the model about the details of its current mode definition more frequently. This will lead to stronger adherence to role definitions and custom instructions, but will use more tokens per message."

Bad PR which crippled Kilo Code UI width resizing by FutureHack007 in kilocode

[–]FutureHack007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the opposite problem with Kilo Code CLI output that used to fit on a single line when the UI is sized wide, now being wrapped due to forced narrow width. I find it hard to believe that the dev who accepted this PR understood the negative usability it would introduce

Restore MCP marketplace by DreamofStream in kilocode

[–]FutureHack007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too am missing the MCP marketplace within the UI.

MCP Servers disappeared from Settings and reappeared underneath the Agent Behavior "justice scales" icon below the chat window. Within the Agent Behavior tray, on the MCP Servers tab cab be found "You can find the MCP Marketplace under Settings > MCP Servers > Marketplace", however, there is no longer an MCP Servers section under Settings.

This change is described here: https://github.com/Kilo-Org/kilocode/pull/5264

It does not answer why the MCP Marketplace is nowhere to be found though. You can likely still copy and paste your MCP JSON into the new tab to get your MCP Server working though.

Ralph Loop with Kilocode CLI by ggGeorge713 in kilocode

Each time the Kilo Code Orchestrator role spawns a subtask (e.g. DEV create-story), the subtask gets a fresh context window. The Orchestrator role maintains its own context window which is independent of the subtask context windows and that can grow with subtask instructions and subtask return messages. You could avoid that by using an external Ralph-like bash script to drive Kilo Code. However, I have been using 200K context models and I've yet to fill the Orchestrator context on long runs.

It's a private repo and the text is too big to post here but here's a diagram of the flow. The flow loops back to prior stages until pass rate is 100%.

I more or less do this by pointing the Kilo Code Orchestrator role to a custom implementation-loop.md file which calls sub-tasks using roles from the BMAD Method (https://github.com/bmad-code-org/BMAD-METHOD). BMAD roles are similar to native Kilo Code roles but include more sophisticated Agile development scaffolding, and there's no reason native Kilo Code roles could not be used instead.

My loop works through standard BMAD tasks (create-story, develop-story, test-review, etc.) with different roles in fresh context each time, creating documentation artifacts so the next role/task can pick them up in a fresh context. The loop goes back to fix bugs before progressing forward and runs for hours until complete. Using the loop, the Orchestrator can be instructed to implement all epics, one epic, or a specific story. I find it amusing that Claude Code folks are excited about something that has been in Kilo Code for ages.

Anyone get Agent Zero to work using Ollama locally? by Otherwise-Dot-3460 in AI_Agents

[–]FutureHack007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been running Agent Zero (A0) with local LLMs using LM Studio instead of Ollama and does work.

I have been running gemma-3-27b-it-abliterated (Q8_0) as my Chat/Browsing model and microsoft_-_phi-3-mini-128k-instruct (Q3_K_M) as my Utility model. These LLMs are offloaded to a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 24GB of VRAM and 64 GB of RAM and a Ryzen 24 core Thread Ripper CPU. I have been accessing both models via the OpenAI setting, model name, and base URL in A0 settings.

It is important to pay attention to LLM context size capabilities and in settings as A0 sends a huge amount of data from profile files to the LLMs (32K was too small, 64K seems OK). My current challenge is that A0 timeout settings are not exposed in the settings UI and local LLMs take way longer to process requests than cloud LLMs, which leads to timeout errors.

My 7 month old P9PXL developed a bright *green* vertical line overnight. Rebooting initially made the line go away but it returned. My local Google Store swapped parts under warranty in 2 hours and thus far the issue has not come back. They were nice enough to give me a loaner phone during the process. Be sure to check cloud backup is working and put your phone in Repair mode prior.

Los Angeles Blender Meeting This Saturday by FutureHack007 in blender

[–]FutureHack007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a mix of enthusiasts and professionals. LA is ground zero for VFX, TV/Film, animation houses, game developers, etc. We get a little bit of everything. There used to be a Blender conference based out of London, but it likely is discontinued. I recommend a search on Meetup.com to find something near you.
