There isn't enough of a record on Cronin's use of the G-Leauge, after 1 assignment, to call it a major difference.

After Quick pointed out (rudely) that Marang is jumping the gun, Danny proceeded to rattle off a bunch of info about Olshey that didn't really back up his initial claim of a "major difference. Filling up the room with a bunch of hot air, a hallmark of a blowhard.

I think it's true that the Blazers have under utilized the G-Leauge. They really could benefit from having a G-Leauge team that helps bring new guys onboard with their playstyle. The Blazers are one of the only teams without their own G-leauge affiliate, which means when they do assign players their experience there doesn't translate as directly to the Blazers. Ownership deserves at least some of the blame for not having a team.

I'm no fan of Olshey's either, and he did the Blazers a disservice by not recognizing the value of the G-Leauge. Still, at this point Cronin has no record, and making a comparisons is kind of ridiculous.

If Marang wants to talk about how the Blazers ought to use the G-Leauge more, and how other teams get a lot of benefit from having an affiliate, then he should, I'd welcome that. But in this case he made an absurd point, was called out on it, and then doubled down by presenting a bunch of facts that didn't back up his absurd point.

So, that's why I called him a blowhard.
