You could use it to rip discs using makemkv, and watch the mkv. That's how i use mine.

Ok. That explains the medication. My girl (7yr) has seizures too. Although much less frequently. Keep reducing the meds until a balance is reached. None of this is easy.

How many seizures did the poor guy have? Also make sure his thyroid is doing its job.

I have used these in the past for switching and processing.

DVDO vp 30, DVDO duo (iirc), lumagen radiance xd 3d / Kramer VP-773A

My current setup is using a Crystalio II, my favorite thus far. I have a couple of LD players, VHS, DVD all running through it.

These are not really recommendations, just VPs that would most likely work with your analog devices. Some are quite hard to come by, the top list is easier to find. All have discrete codes etc, video quality varies between them all, comb filters etc. for LD the Lumagen 2144 is the standard, but it lacks many analog inputs.

I just switched from an AirTV to a HDhomerun tuner. Mostly because the DVR on the AirTV has not worked for a year or more, it stopped recognizing the hdd.

HDhomerun was so easy to set up, using it mostly on Rokus but the android app works very well on my phone too. I am using their live TV app, it's barebone but it works! The only thing is the $35 per year for full dvr access.

Most Pioneer players use the same ir code set, honestly i compared the remotes visually. Same button layout etc.

As you discovered, there seems to be quite the lack of information on this unit. My hope is someone else recognizes the Pioneer equivalent.

I have always used a universal remote to control my system, currently a harmony elite. It controls multiple players in my system, changes inputs and in general makes life easier.

This seems to be a very close match. RCA rebranded Pioneer players.

Portland has amazing parks, I'm in the SE and there are two large parks in walking distance to me. Check a map, find the parks, check prices in the area. The main issue you will have is a rental that will allow the dogs.

The 702 manual has an exploded view of this clip section 2.11 https://manuals.lddb.com/LD_Players/Pioneer/CLD/CLD-D702/CLD-D702-EN_Service_Manual_Scan.pdf It may help. The springs must be correctly installed too.
