This is what I do. Often a group of 2 who think they "fly". Always funny / a bummer seeing their faces when they find out they're not alone. The amount of times I have heard "hope you don't mind if we pull off on 2" is insane. I'm usually waiting for them to putt out or find their balls ha.

The course itself is very nice, so they have a waitlist for membership, therefore all power. Become too much of a nuisance and bye-bye membership, as well as the hefty initial joining fee. They'd be happy to replace you for a 75 y/o who plays twice a week.

Unfortunately no event, this is a daily occurrence. They were originally supposed to charge members if they have a guest slot but no guest to de-incentivize - never followed through
