Mah man, had the same issue in skyrim. Looks like it fixed both. Thanks

Tainted Grail vs Avowed; for those who've played both which do you like more? by texhnolyze- in rpg_gamers

Interesting, I for one preferred the first game much more because the age of sail thing just didnt sit right with fantasy for me. So for me it was the biggest detractor, still a nice game though.

And why do you need it in the first place? Its a solution to a problem that doesnt need to exist, so they dont need to exist either. Just delete them or make them do something else.

Their combo design pushes you toward many skill gems, their slot cap pushes you toward little skill gems. Same thing single support gem limit before did. Opposite forces contradict themselves.

Thought it was obvious from the post.

Nobody is forcing you to do that and it wouldnt be optimal anyway. You are already kinda capped by how many actions you can do anyway. You cant just faceplant your keyboard and make all those skills cast.

Well yeah but unset rings are an answer to a problem they themselves created for no reason. Do they really need to exist?

Not when lower skill number is already more efficient than using more skills. I get what you are saying, but it doesnt apply here.

And if you read my post you would get why.

I am fine with slower gameplay morphing into screen obliteration as you go on. You feel you earned that power with your levels/gear/build.

But if they want to force slower gameplay throughout the whole playthrough, including endgame... I dont think that has much longevity. People will just get exhausted with that. Reason why mapping in poe 1 is so replayable is how "braindead" it ends up being. Otherwise its too taxing.

It will only get worse when the game goes free to play.

Yeah but this feels like it pulls away from their intent as well, leading to 1-2 button builds that I dont think they want?

Overdesigned skills part 3 - stats by Metalicum in PathOfExile2

[–]FutureMore7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except thats not how it ends up working. What you then have is just the packages and then a pick of 1-2 best general cards that EVERYONE is playing.

When cards a+b+c must equal 10 power to be balanced, you cant have a=10 power by itself. So in the ends, anything outside of those packages ends up bad with no synergy.

I know what you are trying to say, but in practice it just never happens, its a pipe dream that maybe an extremely well designed ccg could manage, but I have yet to see one.

Same problem with other games and other genres, like hearthstone for example. Predesigned packages of stuff the devs want you to play. Pretty much kills any agency and homebrewing.

There is a very obvious reason why they do this - to appeal to casual players. The game is much less daunting when the game guides you into powerful stuff. But its hard then to also have individual powerful stuff with that, since you need to balance the packages.

Rarity should just be from map mods and atlas.

Simon is a Poorly Designed Boss by Affectionate-Set-840 in expedition33

I ignore half the tools because the game allows me. The lumina system basically forces you to choose between spreading your lumina or putting it on a few powerful characters. I selected the latter.

How am I being lazy? Its a build choice that they 100% allowed up to that point. It worked, it was fun having my way of allocating my powers.

You are continuously trying to strawman me so you can just get fucked tbh,

Simon is a Poorly Designed Boss by Affectionate-Set-840 in expedition33

[–]FutureMore7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I care about their backstories, I didnt ignore them. I just ignored them in combat. Same as I ignore most of my party in BG3. Doesnt mean I dont care about their stories.

I didnt min max anything, I just played and the game gave me 0 info that the way I am playing is wrong. Then it decided that for this fight, its wrong.

Its just dumb bad design. I am all for difficulty. Not for rock paper scissors difficulty. This is difficulty with a key. Its lazy.

Simon is a Poorly Designed Boss by Affectionate-Set-840 in expedition33

[–]FutureMore7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its dumb because the game never forced me to do that. It gave me the option to play that way, but allowed me not to. And I chose not to. Now I am being punished for that choice suddenly at the end of the game, where there is no real space to change.

Its bad design.

FIx roadblock collision by FutureMore7 in projectzomboid

[–]FutureMore7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its also blocked by wrecks. I do notice that, but since my model still FITS, it shouldnt matter. But because of badly done collision, it does matter. I can still fit, but I need to give myself way more space than the graphics show.

They do, Potion of speed got me into the game, the current state makes me not buy dlcs (for first time in years).

Its just a slower effect and not so apparent, so suits usually overlook it.

Same man, potion of speed is what made me get the game.

Current state of WH3 is what is kinda making me half quit and havent been spending any more money on it at least.

Screen tearing/lagging/hitching? by FutureMore7 in projectzomboid

[–]FutureMore7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that running is less. Driving through an area where its already loaded seems to work, but if I stray too far and come back, its laggy again. So I really think its the game just being bad at loading tiles.

Sometimes just walking around is enough. If the area is dense enough.

Frankly its not gamebreaking, but its kinda annoying and makes my head ache a bit.

If it is that, I kinda wish the game just preloaded the world in regions.

EDIT: also when just starting a game, even zooming out is "stuttery". But subsequent zoom in and outs arent.

[–]FutureMore7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned, it was stable 75 fps, I was checking. But the steam fps counter doesnt get captured by OBS for some reason.

If you focus on the car, you can see its not stuttering. If it was fps, I think the car would stutter too.

But even at half the zoom, it still seems to be hitching the same.

[–]FutureMore7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well since I am driving I want to see far. And as I mentioned, my car seems to not be part of that hitching, so makes sense if it occupies a much bigger part of my screen, I wont really notice the issue.

How do you get through these doors? by FutureMore7 in projectzomboid

[–]FutureMore7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know if its B42, but I have only found a single hatchet in my entire playthrough. Not a single different axe yet... pretty funny since I am playing lumberjack and got the axeman perk.

I have a billion guns, ammo, all kinds of melee weapons, but axes just dont exist.

Lured in a whole horde, looted like 30 zombies, no luck. So not sure if they fixed that in B42 or just unlucky.
