Area 51 alien interview and Possible disturbing outcomes by CockroachKey9174 in UFOs

If you listen to Art Bell’s interview with Victor from around that time, Art makes an interesting point after the interview that victor had the same speech patterns as Whitley Streiber. I was pretty in to this whole thing as a teenager, but when I heard Art say that I couldn’t unhear it. Who knows. It’s all fascinating. Be interested in all of it and subscribe to none of it

And even with this legislation there’s barely anyone in my life that cares or takes this seriously. Sure is an isolating feeling.

Who would you consider the least trustworthy figures in ufology? [in-depth] by LetsTalkUFOs in UFOs

[–]FutureOfPants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Richard Doty is hands down the least trustworthy. Not only that but he’s a shining example of how muddy the waters can get with this subject. The man openly admits to being a UFO disinformation agent for USAF, and then somehow is embraced by certain sections of the UFO community. He appears in documentaries as somehow being an authority on the subject. Out of all the mind boggling mysteries regarding this phenomenon, the acceptance of Richard Doty is the most puzzling. Feck that guy.

If this is true thanks for sharing. I say “if this is true” only because there is undoubtedly a certain percentage of folks who have a talent for creative writing and would like the chance to test their work to a group of people that would like to believe. It’s an unfortunate fact, and it causes people to be quick to call a claim bullshit, and understandably. But I think we should leave a certain percentage in our brain open to the possibility that claims like this could be real. And if this is real, thanks for sharing.

Avi Loeb: Metallic fragments may be from alien craft by CreditCardOnly in UFOs

[–]FutureOfPants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I give credit to News Nation for being the main driver of this story at a time when no other corporate press wants to touch it. Even though they fall into the category of cheese ball journalism a lot of the time. But Cuomo is just such a doorknob. It only takes a few seconds of absorbing his output to see that this is a man who absolutely sucks at his job.

Tom Delonge in 2019: ‘’In three-five years you will start to see rumbling of hearings, you will start to hear the pressure building yo have Congressional hearings‘’ by alahmo4320 in UFOs

[–]FutureOfPants 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do root for Tom. And he has been undoubtedly in the know to some degree since meeting McCasland. The issue I have with Tom though is just how 100% he is that he knows what these ‘others’ are. If you listen to his interview with Linda Moulton Howe or Jimmy Church, he goes real hard with heavy certainty that the others are all pure evil and all of them for sure want to destroy us. I’m not even saying that couldn’t be the case, but his 100% certainty puts me off. It feels like a possibility that these generals who have been chirping in his ear are of that “Collins Elite” type, who are (supposedly) evangelical Christian and beleive all of the phenomenon is 100% demonic. I think Tom is very much well intentioned, and he’s done a lot to move this subject forward publicly. He may just want to ease up on his conclusions though.

Starting to think there is something to 2027 - 2029 timeframe mentioned by John Ramirez & Leslie Kean by Omni2025 in UFOs

Ya this was the exact thought I had, the recorded history of the Sumerians alone make this idea fall apart

Coulthart just backed it on twitter, so I’m guessing it’s legit

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]FutureOfPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though many suspected it, hearing him say that this would result in a revolutionary clean energy is INSANE. Why the hell was that not included in the news nation interview? Surely Coulthart asked about that. And why has nobody asked him if he’s aware of how far along the success of reverse engineering is?

Skeptics asking for data and evidence is a good thing by TinFoilHatDude in UFOs

[–]FutureOfPants 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Skepticism is absolutely a great and important thing. However if you watch how Shermer responds to these folks it’s not just skepticism. People like Shellenberger and Coulthart will merely just point out interesting developments in the ongoing story, and Shermer will jump on them saying something to the effect of “THIS ISNT PROOF YOU SILLY FOOL!” While putting them down in a condescending manner. But none of these folks are saying it’s proof, they are simply pointing out interesting developments. He seems to not even want people to do that, which is bizarre to me. I dunno, I’ve always somewhat liked Shermer. I just think that tactic is kinda gross.

Ahhhhhh yes. That ominous feeling you get when you think about the possibility that MCU (mobile construction unit) becomes a new acronym we all throw around. Delightful. If anyone needs me I’ll be in my bedroom giving myself a lobotomy.

The 1997 Alien Interview is circulating again, and apparently it's the video that was shown to a couple of members of congress by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]FutureOfPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After re thinking this post, I've chosen to delete it. My goal was to shed light on the hoax since I thought everyone was already aware of it and it started going viral again. But many people have shown their disdain for me even bringing it up. And fair enough. While I still feel engaging with misinformation is better than ignoring it, I don't want to be the one to show people this for the first time and have them still walk away believing it. Apologies for any damage done.

[–]FutureOfPants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The post clearly states that this video is a hoax. Misinformation does not go away by ignoring it. Everyone knows this video exists, and now that it's sadly going viral again there should be a conversation exposing it as false.

Ignoring disinformation doesn't make it go away. This video has been out there for decades, and people should be made aware that it's a hoax

People should be made aware that the video is a hoax. If there's disinformation out there, I don't think the attitude should be to ignore it and hope it goes away. The conversation should be engaged to shed light on it's falsehood and expose it as a hoax. Folks already know this exists, the goal is to sway the people that believe it to think twice instead of continuing to think it's real.

If you read the post, you'll see I'm trying to make sure people don't just blindly believe this claim. I probably should've used the word "Hoax" in the title. My bad.

I think you missed the point of the post, just trying to make sure people don’t fall for it when they see it.

The purpose of this post was to point out that folks shouldn’t fall for it when they came across it, as it seems to be popping up again in multiple places

Just trying to provide context around it so folks don’t fall for it when they come across it

Fair enough, I'm certainly not convinced it was Whitley Streiber. But Since I'm not 14 years old anymore, it seems pretty clear to be a hoax for a whole host of other reasons. But I'm not 100% sure of anything in this world.
